Obituary

Ms. Zandra Yvette Jackson of 2003 South Joe Wright Drive, Cordele, Georgia died Saturday, January 15, 2022 at the Crisp Regional  Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.

The graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 4:30 PM at the Bethel Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia.  Everyone in attendance is asked to please wear a mask and to practice social distancing.

A beautiful baby girl was born to Wadell and Maggie Jackson on November 30, 1973.  She was named Zandra Yvette.

"Zan" as she was known to everyone was a 1993 graduate of Crisp County High School.  After the completion of high school, she did further studying at South Georgia Technical College.

She was a member of the Greater Morris Tabernacle Baptist Church.  Blessed with a beautiful voice, Zan was a member of the Voices of Tabernacle.

Zandra loved her family.  She was a loving mother, who was very close to her own mother.  She loved baking cookies and dressing up.  As a child she wanted to be a Veterinarian.  She was tender hearted towards stray animals and she loved her dog, Lucy.  There was  always a stray at the house and Zandra's mother was always fussing about where did this animal come from.

Zandra was thrilled to plan birthdays, BBQs, reunions of any sort.  She was tons of fun and got along with everybody.  She did not have a mean bone in her body.  She exemplified love in every way.   If she showed you love,  she was with you 100%.  Even when people were unkind to her, she would just smile and say, "It's Ok!"

She was a beautiful person inside and out. Sweet, kind, caring and compassionate.  She was truly a loyal and dedicated friend to those who loved her. Zan never had a mean, unkind word to say about anyone. She just wasn't that type of person. Hearing her laughter, hearing her sing will be missed unconditionally. Her children will always be a special part of her.

On Saturday, January 15, 2022, Zan finished her fight.  She fought a good fight and God has blessed her by bringing her home to a place of rest, peace and no more suffering.  She would want us to go on living, helping others, and focusing on what's important in life: faith, family, friends and ANIMALS.

Her life will forever be remembered by her loving and caring children, Sha'Brittany Luckey, Darius Jackson, and Eric Jackson all of Cordele, Georgia; her loving and caring mother, Maggie Lee Jackson of Cordele, Georgia;  her beloved stepfather, Eddie Dawson of Cordele, Georgia; a loving sister, Portia Jackson-Vega of Atlanta, Georgia; her beloved brothers, Gary Jackson of Cordele, Georgia and Rafel Jackson of Atlanta, Georgia; her aunts and uncles, Elijah Jackson of Albany, Georgia, Jerry (Dorothy) Jackson of Atlanta, Georgia, Willie Mae Lowe of Byron, Georgia, Mae Liza Lowe of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Alton Jackson of Warner Robins, Georgia; two nieces; three nephews; a special friend, Willie Henderson of Cordele, Georgia; a host of other relatives and many sorrowing friends, to include, Charlotte Mitchell of Warwick, Georgia, Sharon Allen of Albany, Georgia, Cynthia  Rogers of Cordele, Georgia, Davona Jackson of Cordele Georgia and Shaundria Bryant of Macon, Georgia.
