Mr. Wren Harper, Sr. of 1005 Elberta Road, Warner Robins, Georgia died Saturday, August 19, 2023 at the Fort Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center in Fort Valley, Georgia.
The funeral service will be held Friday, August 25, 2023 at 12:00 Noon in the chapel of the J. W. Williams Funeral Home in Cordele, Georgia.
Everyone entering the funeral home for visitations or services is required to wear a mask and to practice social distancing. A mask must be worn throughout the stay. You must supply your own mask.
Wren Harper, Sr. was born to the late Tom Harper and Estelle Harper on August 4, 1958 in Cordele, Georgia. He grew up and was educated in the Crisp County school system. After attending high school, Wren married and in this union had four children. The family moved to Atlanta, Georgia in the mid-1980s.
Wren worked as a Truck Driver and Operator in the trucking Industry for over 4o years. Wren was a jokester, his favorite pastime was fishing and playing SPADES. Most importantly, he loved his family. On the early morning of August 19, 2023, Wren passed peacefully in his sleep.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 20 years, Julia "Ann" Harper; children, Ferrallus Hightower (Shakhada), Atlanta, Georgia, Natasha Fusalba, Loganville, Georgia, Wren Harper, Jr. (Shakia), Cordele, Georgia, Clarence Thomas Harper (Quansha) and L'Keshia Endsley (Angelo), Conyers, Georgia.
He is also survived by two sisters, Mary Steele (Clarence), Warner Robins, Georgia and Martha Huffins,Cordele, Georgia and one brother, Alfred Harper (Marilyn) of Cordele, Georgia. His siblings who preceded him in death are Tommy Harper, Edward Harper, McKenzie Harper, Gloria Ann Harper, William Harper, and Alexander Harper.
Brothers-in-law, Bishop Eddie Griggs (Deborah), Samuel Griggs, Austin, Texas, and Eddie Griggs, Sr. (Sabrina) of Cordele, Georgia; Sisters-in-law, Amanda Felton (Travis), Pitts, Georgia and Penelope Watts (Willie), Riverdale, Georgia, and Jean Miller, Hampton, Georgia.
Ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends. A devoted niece and caretaker, Kourtney Huffins of Warner Robins.
Wren touched many people's lives with his smile, generosity, and unique sense of humor. To know him was to love him.
