Mr. Willie Clarence Sanders of 301 West 24th Avenue, Cordele, Georgia, died Sunday, May 11, 2025, at the Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of the J. W. Williams Funeral Home in Cordele, Georgia.  The burial will follow at the Sunnyside Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia.

Everyone entering the funeral home for visitations or services is required to wear a mask and to practice social distancing.  A mask must be worn throughout the stay.  You must supply your mask.

Mr. Willie Clarence Sanders, a beloved member of the community, passed away on May 11, 2025, at Crisp Regional Hospital. Born on June 1, 1945, in Dooly County, Georgia, Willie was the cherished son of Mr. Frank Sanders and Mrs. Mattie Pearl Patterson Sanders.

Willie grew up in Dooly County, where he attended public schools, which laid a strong foundation for his life. Throughout his life, Willie was an active member of his community, deeply rooted in his faith. He was a member of the County Line Baptist Church and also attended Mount  Olive Baptist Church in Warwick,  Georgia.

Willie had a passion for grilling and loved spending time outdoors, sharing meals with his family and friends. He was also a great admirer of Gospel music, finding peace and joy in its melodies. Above all, Willie cherished the moments spent with his family, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter.

His warm smile, kind heart, and unwavering faith touched the lives of everyone he met. Willie Clarence Sanders will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His parents and his children, Ms. Bernice Brown and Ms. Betty Jackson, preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his siblings: Mrs.  Margaret Hunt, Ms. Jessie Sanders, Mrs. Cora Lee Palmer, Mrs. Elouise Burns, Mr. Gus Sanders, Mr. Leo Sanders, Mr. David Sanders, and Mr. Willie James King.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Jessie Mae Sanders, and their devoted children: Ms. Doris Jackson, Mr. Anthony (Betty) Brown, Ms. Lillie M. Brown, Ms. Annie R. Jackson, and Mr.   Dennis (Keshia) Jackson of Cordele, Georgia, and Ms. Katherine Jackson of Augusta, Georgia; 32  grandchildren, including those he helped raise: Ms. Shonquilla Jackson, Ms. Lakedria Jackson, Mr. Kanorius Woodson, and Ms. A'alaisha Jackson; over 50 great-grandchildren; two loving sisters, Mrs. Mattie (Jeff) Mason of Cordele, Georgia, and Mrs. Earline (Johnny) Shorter of Arabi, Georgia; two beloved brothers, Mr. Eddie Sanders of Cordele, Georgia, and Mr. Willie Frank Sanders of Miami, Florida; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many sorrowing friends.
