Mr. Willie B. Pace of 135 Chelmsford Court, Leesburg, Georgia died Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at the Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Georgia.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of the J. W. Williams Funeral Home in Cordele, Georgia. The burial will follow at the Antioch Church Cemetery in Desota, Georgia.
Everyone entering the funeral home for visitations or services is required to wear a mask and to practice social distancing. A mask must be worn throughout the stay. You must supply your own mask.
Mr. Willie B. Pace known as "Jolly" or "B" was born on July 1, 1952 in Lee County, Georgia. He was born to the late Mrs. Minnie Dora Deriso Pace and the late Mr. Sandy Honey Walker.
"Mr. Willie" was educated in the Lee County School System. He was employed with Harris Press of Cordele as a Welder for many years. He also spent many years working as a Farmer.
On Wednesday, July 26, 2023 he transitioned from this life. He is preceded in death by his siblings on his mother's side: Mr. Bob Pace, Ms. Dora Bell Pace, and Ms. Ida B. Carter, as well as 17 siblings on his father's side.
"Mr. Willie" is survived his wife, Mrs. Marsha Williamson Pace of New Jersey; his son, Mr. Tyris High (Lakesha) of Leesburg, Georgia; his daughter, Ms. LaQuasha Pace of Americus, Georgia; five grandchildren, Kallafia High, Tanika High, Tyria High, Savion Bridges, and Tristan Snelling; three great grandchildren, Kaya Fulks, Kaylen Fulks, and Kylar Anderson; a sister, Ms. Gloria Walker of Americus, Georgia; his children, he helped raise, Mr. Roy High, Ms. Kelly High, and Ms. Brittany Law; several devoted nieces and nephews, to include, Mr. Lee Pace, Dr. Elizabeth Holloway, Mrs. Jannie Carter Jackson, Ms. Tonia Pace, and Mrs. Diana Pace Mercer; a host of other relatives and many sorrowing friends, to include a devoted friend, Mr. JC Johnson.
