Mr. Willie Davis Harris of 453 Forrest Street, Americus, Georgia, died Thursday, May 29, 2025, at the Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Georgia.

The graveside funeral service will be held Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Eastview Cemetery in Americus, Georgia.

Willie Davis Harris, the cherished son of Willie David Harris and Sally Harris, was born December 24, 1956, in Sumter County, Georgia.

Educated in the public schools of Sumter County, he was a beloved friend to many in Americus.  His life was a testament of love and kindness.

He transitioned on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at the Phoebe-Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Georgia.

He leaves behind a legacy of wonderful memories with his children: Anntwonette Walton, John David Walton and his wife, Alexis Holmes, Jarrell White, Jarrod White, Jessica Harris, Marcus Payne, and John Payne all of Americus, Georgia; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a devoted friend, Rossetta "Cookie" Bateman of Americus, Georgia, along with countless other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
