Mr. Willie Griffin of 2246 South US Hwy 41, Cordele, Georgia died Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Regency Hospital in Macon, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held Friday, February 16, 2024 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the J. W. Williams Funeral Home in Cordele, Georgia.

Everyone entering the funeral home for viewings or services must wear a mask.  You must supply your own mask.

Mr. Willie Griffin was born November 30, 1947 in Marion County, Georgia.  He was born to the late Mr. Rowell Griffin and Mrs. Mae Julia McKinney Griffin.

He received his education in the public schools of Sumter County, Georgia.

He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and united with the Church of Christ.

A dedicated employee, he worked for many years at EBBA Iron until retiring.  He loved working outside and also enjoyed helping on the farm.

On Thursday, February 8, 2024, Willie peacefully transitioned from this life.  He is also preceded in death by his son, Mr. Timothy Johnson; his siblings, Mrs. Mary Whitehead, Ms. Mattie Pearl Griffin and Mr. Robert (Mattie) Griffin.

Memories of his life will be cherished by his loving and devoted wife, Mrs. Gloria A. Griffin of Cordele, Georgia; his loving and devoted children, Ms. Patricia A. Griffin Trice of Vienna, Georgia, Ms. Latasha McWilliams of Warner Robins, Georgia, Mr. Willie James (Ebony) Griffin and  Deacon Michael (Matoshia) Haugabrook of Cordele, Georgia; his beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren; a loving sister, Ms. Lue B. Smith of Americus, Georgia; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Sharon Johnson of Americus,   Georgia; his aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
