Mr. Willie Charles Williams of North Augusta, South Carolina formerly of Cordele, Georgia, died Thursday, December 14, 2023 at the Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia, South Carolina.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, December 23, 2023 at 10:00 AM at the J. W. Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Cordele, Georgia. The burial will follow at the Bethel Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia.
Everyone entering the funeral home for visitations or services is required to wear a mask and to practice social distancing. A mask must be worn throughout the stay. You must supply your own mask.
Mr. Willie C Williams, son of the late Mr. Otis Williams and Mrs. Lois Dixon Williams was born January 11, 1948 in Homerville, Georgia. He attended public schools in Clinch County and graduated from Clinch County High School.
He was united in holy matrimony to Ossie Mae Styles. Ossie Mae preceded him in death on August 17, 1985.
Mr. Williams resided Miami, Florida for over 30 years before moving back to the Georgia-Carolina area. Willie Charles aka "Bish" loved playing dominos, going fishing, and talking about sports. He had a special love for the Miami Dolphins football team and the Miami Heat basketball team.
He quietly departed his life on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at the Lexington Medical Center in Lexington, South Carolina. Along with his parents, he preceded in death by twelve siblings.
His life will forever cherish in the lives of his children: Tronie (Jean) Williams, Sr. of North Augusta, South Carolina and Antwonette Williams Henry of Lake City, Florida, three grandchildren: Reginald Black of Lake City, Florida, Tronie Williams, Jr. of North Augusta, South Carolina, and Katana Williams of Lake City, Florida, three bonus grandchildren, Franchesca Mathis and Kayla Mathis of Graniteville, South Carolina, Kyra Mathis of Columbia, South Carolina; two sisters-in-law, Wilhelmina Williams and Patricia Styles of Cordele, Georgia; a host of beloved nieces and nephews to include: Andrew Jackson of Cordele, Georgia, Ervin Lawton of Miami, Florida, Bobbie Jo Roberts, F. D. Lawton, Sara Bell Jackson, Alvin Williams, and Keith Williams of Cordele, Georgia; a host of cousins, other relatives and many friends.
