A beautiful blessing was given by the Lord on November 17, 1965 when Georgia Lewis Tolbert welcomed a daughter.  Born in Cordele, Crisp County, Georgia, she named her Wanda Denise.

Wanda was educated in the public schools of Crisp County.  She graduated from Crisp County High in 1983.

As a child she joined the Beulahland Baptist Church under the pastorage of Reverend Morris Hillsman.  Later in  life she  worshiped at Live Oak Church of God in Hinesville, Georgia.

Wanda found great joy in the simple things in life.  She valued the time spent with family, especially her grandchildren.  She loved to cook and to play BINGO.  Her love for children was also fully displayed as she volunteered as a cheerleading coach.

On Sunday, March 27, 2022, she heard what we could not hear and saw a light we could not see and she peacefully transitioned from this life.  She is preceded in death by her mother and her grandmother, Beatrice Lewis.   Her aunt, Linda Lewis and her uncles, Arthur James Lewis and John L. Lewis, also precede her.

Memories of her life will forever be cherished by her loving family, her children, T-Erica Killens of Hinesville, Georgia and Sergeant Christopher (Unique) Williams, US Army of Hinesville, Georgia; her grandchildren, Eric Blige, Nathan Weatherspoon, Skyla Williams and Bria Williams all of Hinesville, Georgia; her sister, Brenda Quarterman (Rickey) Melson of Albany, Georgia; her brother, Corinthian Quarterman Lewis of Cordele, Georgia; her niece and nephews, Kurt (Monique) Quarterman of Louisville, Kentucky, Quentin Thomas of Albany, Georgia, Corinthian Quarterman, Jr. and Ajaylah Quarterman of both of Cordele, Georgia, and William Quarterman of Statesboro, Georgia; her aunts, Lessie Green, Mary Jean (Charlie) Akins, and Jeanette Johnson all of Cordele, Georgia, and Janice Grinstead of Dayton, Ohio; her uncles, Eddie Charles (Wilma) Lewis, Bobby Lewis, Tommy Lee (Donna) Lewis, and Calvin Lewis all of Cordele, Georgia; a host of cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends, to include, Regina Morton, Charlotte Lovett, Lottika Gwynn, Patricia Williams and Joseph Elmore.
