Ms. Vivian Telfair of 1312 East 8th Avenue, Cordele, Georgia, died Monday, November 24, 2025, at her residence.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 1:00 PM in the chapel of J. W. Williams Funeral Home in Cordele, Georgia.  The burial will follow at the Sunnyside Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia.

Everyone entering the funeral home for visitations or services is required to wear a mask and maintain social distancing.  A mask must be worn throughout the stay.  You must supply your mask.

On September 5, 1958, a beautiful soul graced this world with her presence. Vivian Telfair, the cherished daughter of Annie C. Telfair, embarked on a journey filled with love, faith, and dedication.

Vivian spent her formative years in the nurturing environment of the Crisp County School System. She graduated proudly with the Class of 1976, marking the beginning of her impactful journey. Her educational background laid a strong foundation for the career she would passionately pursue.

Soon after her graduation, Vivian embarked on her professional path at Belk Matthews, which would later become Belks. Her unwavering commitment and diligent work ethic led her to serve as the store's assistant manager. After 30 years of dedicated service and being the only job she ever had, she retired in 2007, leaving behind a legacy of professionalism and kindness.

Vivian's life was deeply rooted in her faith. She was a devoted member of the New Oak Grove Baptist Church in Cordele, Georgia, where she served on the Deaconess Board for many years. Her contributions to her community and church were a   testament to her strong belief in service and compassion.

Vivian had a profound love for cooking, a passion she held until her health no longer permitted. Despite this, her love for ice cream and Shrimp Alfredo remained unwavering. Vivian's life was filled with cherished relationships, and she was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend.

On November 24, 2025, Vivian left this world, free from pain, to begin a new life with Jesus. She is preceded in death by her mother, Annie; her sister, Sweet; and her grandparents, Augustus C. Telfair, Sr. and Annie Claude Harris Telfair, along with many other family members she held dear.

Vivian Telfair's life was a tapestry of love, dedication, and faith. Her memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Vivian leaves behind cherished memories with her devoted and caring uncle, Augustus C. Telfair, Jr. (Faye) of Cordele, Georgia, her niece, LeAnn W. Simmons (Roderick), whom she affectionately called Niecey/Daughter; her adopted daughter, Kimberly McDole of Spring  Valley, New York; her nephew, Jeffery Walker (Toshia) of Cordele, Georgia; her brother-in-law, Herman Williams of Cordele, Georgia; her aunt, Mary Neal Hunter of Buford, Georgia; her adopted children, Stephanie Hutchens (Wes) and Michael Telfair of Cordele, Georgia; her devoted cousin, Rose J. Rogers of Cordele, Georgia; a host of cousins, relatives, and many sorrowing friends, including her special sisters, Martha King, Yvonne O. James, Gwen Henderson, Geneva Rawls, Ann Nipper, and her special girls from  Always Caring Healthcare: Danita Bell, Jasmine Young, and Michelle Solomon.
