Ms. Vikea Nicole Ingram of Jonesboro, Georgia died Friday, July 15, 2022 at the Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia

The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 2:30 PM in the sanctuary of the Allen Chapel A. M. E. Church in Americus, Georgia.  Everyone in attendance is asked to please wear a mask.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Mount Zion A. M. E. Church Cemetery in Greeleyville, South Carolina.

Born November 27, 1986 in Stuttgart, Germany, to Darrell D. Ingram and Francena York Ingram.

Vikea attended school in Harris County schools in Houston, Texas, later moving to Americus, Georgia where she attended Sumter County Schools and graduated from the   Americus Sumter County High School with the Class of 2005. After graduating, she attended Albany Technical College. She went on to pursue a career as a Correctional Officer at Calhoun State Prison, she later went to work as a Non-Emergency Transport for Goldstar Ambulance in Americus. Nikki later moved to Atlanta where she worked for Amazon Warehouse and then moved on to where she was last employed with Zinus in McDonough, Georgia.

Nikki was an active member at Allen Chapel A. M. E. Church, where Reverend Jermaine Harris is pastor.

At Allen she served as an Assistant Sunday school teacher as well as Assistant leader for the YPD. She also became the President of the Stewardesses and a member of the Young Adult Missionary Society.

On Friday July 15, 2022, she passed away at the Atlanta Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.

Left to cherish her memory a loving and devoted son, Shamod K. Perry (14) and her beautiful, sweet daughter Azaiya C. Yearby (9); her devoted fiancé, Ronrecus Burney of Jonesboro, Georgia; her mother, Francena York Ingram of Americus, Georgia; her father, Darrell D. Ingram of Americus, Georgia; two sisters, Chantel D. Ingram (JacQuail) of Americus, Georgia and Nakesha J. Ingram of Sumter, South Carolina; her stepsister, LeShayla Cooke (Shawn) of McDonough, Georgia; her paternal grandfather, Tobbie H. Ingram of Memphis, Tennessee; three aunts, Mae Frances Durant (Robert) of Tamarac, Florida, Deloris Brown of Lane, South Carolina and Christena York Luckie (R.D.) of Desota, Georgia; six uncles, Lee E. York (Frenchie) of Florence, South Carolina, Seal York Jr. (Denise) of Sumter, South Carolina,  Johnny E. York (Phyllis) of Trenton, South  Carolina, Dennis McDowell of Greeleyville, South Carolina, Lawrence Ingram, Tobbie Ingram, Jr. (Joyce) and Mark  Ingram of Memphis, Tennessee; honorary sister, Janice Pitts of Americus, Georgia; two god sisters, Jasmine E. Tullis of Americus, Georgia and Rasheena Harris of Leslie, Georgia; her godson/great nephew, Mazi J. Colbert of Americus, Georgia; two nephews, Marcus K. Ingram-Payne of Americus, Georgia and Zyke Cooke of McDonough, Georgia; a great nephew, Kayden Morgan; four nieces, Taniya L. Barnes and Zsameria M. Kearse-Greene of Americus, Georgia, Breanna S. Ingram and Jordan A. Wilson of Sumter, South Carolina; a host of family and close friends, First Lady Tara Harris and Demetria Bridges, and her beloved Class of 05!
