Mr. Tony Lee Stafford, Jr. of 2408 Doncaster Drive, Albany, Georgia died Friday, July 14, 2023 at the Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the sanctuary of the United Holiness Church in Americus, Georgia. The burial will follow at the Eastview Cemetery in Americus, Georgia.
Everyone in attendance is asked please wear a mask and to practice social distancing.
Tony Lee Stafford, Jr. was born August 27, 1968 in Americus, Georgia to the parentage of Mrs. Mary Wafford Stafford and the late Tony Lee Stafford, Sr.
Along with his father, he is preceded in death by his stepfather who raised him, Elder Eddie Green; his brother, Christopher Jerome Stafford; his grandparents, Mr. Tom Wafford, Sr., Mrs. Willie B. Wafford Smith, Mrs. Johnnie Mae Stafford Tyner, and Mr. Howard Stafford, Sr.
Tony was educated in the public schools of Sumter County, Georgia. He was also a "Jack of All Trades." There was nothing Tony could not fix. He was always willing to help anyone at any moment. He was a dear friend to all and offered everyone he met, "A Beautiful Smile." He was employed with Golden Gourmet Distributors of Americus, Georgia. A job he truly loved.
He was married to the former Doris May Barnes.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Doris Barnes Stafford; his children, Ms. Felicia M. Stafford and her companion, Mr. Christopher McNeil of Florence, South Carolina and Mr. Jaylin J. Stafford of Americus, Georgia; his grandchildren, Zay'ania Stafford, Zy'Kuria Stafford and Zaryiah Stafford of Florence, South Carolina; his mother and stepfather, Pastor, Mary Green McFarley and Elder Frank "Pop" McFarley of Albany, Georgia; his sisters, Mrs. Marcie Green Okechukwu and her husband, Mr. Eleazar Okechukwu of Conyers, Georgia and Ms. Leslie Green Johnson and her companion, Mr. James Hadley of Albany, Georgia; his brothers, Retired MSG Darrell Stafford and his wife, Retired SFC Kimyunna Stafford of Fort Campbell, Kentucky, Minister Samuel C. Green of Americus, Georgia and Retired CPO Willie J. Flint and wife, Mrs. Durhunda Flint of Suffolk, Virginia; his aunts, Mrs. Sarah Stafford Bacon and her husband, Mr. Odell Bacon, Mrs. Mattie W. Allen, Mrs. Annie A. Calhoun and her husband, Mr. David Calhoun of Americus, Georgia, Mrs. Ida W. McDuffie and her husband, Mr. Walter McDuffie of Fayetteville, North Carolina; his nieces and nephews, DJ, Dante, Brianna, Aliah, Tranerious, Lorenzo, Isaiah, Shardae, Meagen, Michelle, Miles, Daniel and Samuel; his great nieces and great nephews, Jaztan, Prince, LaNeriah, Londyn, and Kaydence; a host of cousins, other relatives along with his friends who came to help him during his time of need.
