On Friday, May 14, 1954, a bundle of joy was born and her name was Thelma Delois.  She was born to the late Thelma Putman    Barrett and the late Curtis Johnson.  To her family and friends she was affectionately called, "Sis".

She attended the public schools of Crisp County.  She was a proud 1973 graduate of Crisp County High School.  In 1994, she attended Moultrie Technical Institute and earned her CNA license.  She started her CNA journey at Beverly Enterprise.  She was employed for nine years before finishing her career with Crisp Nursing &  Rehab.  She retired in 2020.

Thelma was introduced to Jesus Christ early in life at the Greater Morris Tabernacle Baptist Church where she was baptized.  She sang in with The Voices of Inspiration and was also a member of the Sisters In Progress.  She faithfully served until her health issues occurred.

She valued every moment she had with her girls.  She enjoyed   going on trips with the family.  She approached every day and everything with a straight forward matter, just being herself.  In her relaxation time, her favorite television shows were "Walker Texas Ranger" and "Criminal Minds".

On Sunday morning, January 14, 2024, with a quiet whisper, she heard Him say, "Come on with me my child."

Her life will always be cherished and remembered by her loving and devoted daughters, Zelda Johnson and DeCarlo King of Cordele, Georgia; her niece, she reared as a daughter, L'Chrissia Graham of Cordele, Georgia; her grandchildren, Charnesha Jones, Johanna Brooks, Aaliyah Jones, and Serenity Paul of Cordele, Georgia; her siblings, Sammie Barrett of Cordele, Georgia and  Calvin Johnson of Columbus, Georgia, Nora Barnes of Cleveland, Ohio, Norma (James) Mathis of Orlando, Florida, and May Nell Johnson of Columbus, Georgia; her uncle, L.
