Ms. Teleeka Diane Ford of 105 North Bass Street, Cordele, Georgia died Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at the Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the J. W. Williams Funeral Home Porte Cochere in Cordele, Georgia.  The burial will follow at the Bethel Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia.  Everyone in attendance is asked to please wear a mask and to practice social distancing.

Teleeka Diane Ford was born December 16, 1974 in Clearwater, Florida.  She was born to Earnest Gamble and the late Geraldine Diane Ford.

Teleeka was educated in the Tarpon Springs Public School System.  She later attended South Georgia Technical College where she completed the course of study for the Certified Nurse Assistant Program.

Early in life she was introduced to the Lord.  She united with the Mount Herman Missionary Baptist Church in Tarpon Springs, Florida.  After moving to Cordele, she united with the New Saint Stevens Non-Denominational Church.

For many years, Teleeka was employed as Store Manager for   Wendy's of Cordele.  Her love for children led her to become a Certified Foster Parent.  She was also employed by Easter Seals  until her health failed.

Along with her love for children, she will be remembered for the pride she took in doing hair.  She loved styling the hair of her family and friends.

On Tuesday, July 26, 2022, Teleeka peacefully moved to her heavenly home.  Along with her mother, she is also preceded in death by grandparents, Lena Ford, Juanita Johnson, Dr. Erma Smith and O. L. Smith.

She leaves many wonderful memories to her loving and devoted family:  her husband, Terrance Harris of Cordele, Georgia; her son, Marquise Waites of Cordele, Georgia; her father, Earnest Gamble of Cordele, Georgia; her godchildren, DeCarlos Colbert of Macon, Georgia, Sacauya Armstrong, Kadejiah Hendley, Karlisha Hendley, Mustafa Reid, Erma Marie Fisher, and Jernessa Palmer all of Cordele, Georgia; her sister, Denean S. Ford of Cordele, Georgia; her brother, Wayne D. Ford (Elly) of Ohio; her aunts and uncles, Lena Bell Ford of St. Petersburg, Florida, Lawanda Bennett of Atlanta, Georgia, Latrell Gamble of Ohio, Michael Ford (Mattie) of Tarpan Springs, Florida, Jimmy Ford (Juanita) of Virginia, and  Edward Ford of Holiday, Florida; her nieces and nephews, Olivia Ford and Tyron Ford of Cordele, Georgia, Michael Ford and Johnell Ford of Tarpon Springs, Florida, Dakota Banter and Brittany Banter of Florida, Makala Ford and Diona Ford of Tennessee, Alissa Ford of Ohio, Jayden Bean  and Keanna Heitzman of Florida; a host of cousins, to include special cousins, Brian and Geneva Humphry of Clearwater, Florida and Jessica Taylor of Port Richie, Florida; her BFFs, Calisha Linder and Nicole Oliver Gray of Cordele, Georgia; her special and beloved dog, Axel; a host of other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
