Ms. Tarsha Racquel Sanders of 1302 Drayton Way, Cordele, Georgia, died Friday, April 10, 2026, at the Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., in the sanctuary of Ark of God Ministries in Cordele, Georgia. The burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia.
Everyone entering the funeral home for visitations or services is required to wear a mask and maintain social distancing. A mask must be worn throughout the stay. You must supply your mask.
Tarsha Racquel Sanders was born on June 30, 1975, in Cordele, Georgia. She came into this world as the beloved daughter of David "Molly" Nance and the late Margaret Sanders Hunt. Tarsha's early life was enriched by the warmth and values instilled by her family, and she pursued her education diligently within the public schools of Crisp County. In 1993, she proudly graduated from Crisp County High School, embarking on a journey filled with love, faith, and compassion.
Tarsha confessed her hope in Jesus Christ and became a member of the Ark of God Ministries in Cordele, Georgia. Her faith was a guiding light throughout her life, and she found joy and strength in the fellowship of her church community. Before her health began to decline, she was a regular attendee at church services, where she found solace and inspiration.
Tarsha was known for her radiant smile and her genuine love for people. She had a natural ability to connect with others and cherished the opportunity to engage in heartfelt conversations. Her caring nature extended beyond her immediate family, as she embraced her roles as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Tarsha's life was a testament to the power of love and faith. She touched the hearts of everyone she met with her kindness and grace. Her legacy is one of joy, compassion, and unwavering faith, reminding us all to cherish each moment and to love deeply.
On April 10, 2026, Tarsha transitioned from this world, leaving behind a many cherished and loving memories to her beloved companion, Byron Brinson of Cordele, Georgia; her loving daughter, Sha'Quirria Tolbert of Cordele, Georgia, her grandchildren, Chrissi and Christin Westbrook of Cordele, Georgia; her father, David "Molly" Nance of Cordele, Georgia; her sisters, Torella Wynn (Sean Washington, Sr.) and Laquita Michelle Nance of Cordele, Georgia; her grandparents, Frank and Mattie Pearl Sanders of Cordele, Georgia; her aunts and uncles, Earline Shorter (Johnny), Mattieva Mason (Jeff), and Eddie Sanders (Wilma) all of Cordele, Georgia, Nathaniel Nance of Vienna, Georgia, and Willie Frank Sanders (Ruth) of Miami, Florida; her nieces and nephew, Malayshia Hughes, Messia Wynn and Sean Washington, Jr. all of Cordele, Georgia; a host of cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends, to include her best friend, Debra Smith of Cordele, Georgia.
