Ms. Sekethia Antonia Cannon of 81 Barbara Battle Way, Americus, Georgia, died Friday, June 27, 2025 at the Willson Hospice House in Albany, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held Monday, July 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the sanctuary of the Antioch Baptist Church in Americus, Georgia.  The burial will follow at the churchyard cemetery.

Ms. Sekethia Antonia Cannon, affectionately known as "Sadie," was born on August 31, 1975, in Americus, Georgia, to Lamar Cannon and Beulah Angry. Raised with love and care, she grew up under the guidance of her family and community. She passed away on June 27, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter.

"Sadie" attended school in the Sumter County School System, where she forged lifelong friendships and garnered a reputation for her vivacious spirit and infectious laughter. A deep connection to her faith marked her early years, as she was introduced to God at a young age and became a devout member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Smithville, Georgia.

Sadie was known for her love of dance and her ability to light up any room with her humor. Her culinary skills were unmatched, and she often found joy in cooking up delicious meals for those she loved. Sadie had an adventurous spirit, often described as being "in the wind" whenever she could escape the confines of daily life.

Preceding her in death are her cherished granddaughter, Deunna Sims; grandparents, Robert Lee Angry, Mary Dell Angry, J C Sims, Fred Grain, Robert Lee Angry, Jr., and Sarah Smith; and a special cousin, Kelvin Toriano Walton, Jr., who called her "Auntie." Her laughter, kindness, and zest for life will be remembered and celebrated by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Sekethia's life was enriched by her beloved family and friends. She leaves behind her pride and joy: her four daughters, Tityana Cannon (Mike), Shemiah Cannon, Shynika Long, and Dannicha Snipes all of Americus, Georgia; her two grandchildren, Ja'Riah Smith and Jamir Smith of Americus, Georgia; her loving and devoted parents, Lamar Cannon of Americus, Georgia and Beulah Angry of Americus, Georgia; her brothers, Lamorris (Keria) and Travus Angry of Americus, Georgia; her aunts and uncles, Saddie (Bruce) Wilson, Sarah Ann (Leroy) Taylor, Harnet Spencer, and Mattie Jewel Cannon of Americus, Georgia, Eddie Roger Cannon (Tonya), Willie Fred Cannon, and Nathaniel Angry (Patricia), Betty (Emery) Bridges, and Elizabeth (Arthur) Mable;  her devoted friend, Lorenzo Smothers of Smithville, Georgia; special cousin, Berlisha Lamar; her special friends, Stacy Lumpkin, Lakesha Tyson, and Vanessa Lewis; her devoted cousins, Natasha Mable and Felicia Bridges; a host of nieces and  nephews; other relatives and many sorrowing friends who loved her dearly
