Mr. Samuel James Duhart of 613 Pine Street, Vienna, Georgia, died Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Atrium Navicent Health in Macon, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, November 30, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the sanctuary of the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Dooling, Georgia.  The burial, with military honors, will follow in the churchyard cemetery.

Samuel James Duhart was born on September 3, 1961, in Vienna, Georgia. He was the beloved son of John A. Duhart, Sr., and Eva Mae Duhart. Growing up in Dooly County community, Sam attended Vienna High School, where he laid the foundation for a life marked by dedication and service.

Sam was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, where he and the Duhart family have worshipped over the years.

He chose to serve his country with honor and distinction, dedicating himself to the United States Army. During his service, Sam earned several commendations, including the Good Conduct Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, and the Sharpshooter (Rifle) Ribbon.

Sam was known for his love of conversation and camaraderie. He enjoyed spending time with his cousins and friends, often sharing stories over drinks. His work with  Coley's Gin during the seasonal harvests was not just a job but a source of joy and   connection with his community.

Our hearts were sadden when on November 23, 2025 Sam passed away. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Mary L. Lovett, Matilda Jean Townsend, Charlye Maude Duhart, John A. Duhart, Jr., and J. T. Duhart, as well as his grandparents, Elick Williams and Hattie Turner Williams.

In remembering Samuel James Duhart, we celebrate a life of service, faith, and enduring love for family and friends. His spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Sam's legacy continues in the lives of his surviving family members. He is remembered by his son, Alfonzo Montrail Allen of Atlanta, Georgia; his cherished grandchildren:  Anasia, Kaydence, Alfonzo Jr., and Halo; his sisters, Minnie D. Akins (Sylvester) of Wenonah, New Jersey and Johnnie Mae Lewis of Vienna, Georgia; his aunt, Louise Williams of Bainbridge, Georgia;  one sister-in-law, two brothers-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
