Mrs. Rosa May Felton Walker of 108 Princeton Drive, Milledgeville, Georgia, died Monday, April 21, 2025, at Atrium Health Navicent Baldwin Hospital in Milledgeville, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the chapel of the J. W. Williams Funeral Home in Cordele, Georgia.  The burial will follow at the Westview Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia.

Everyone entering the funeral home for visitations or services is required to wear a mask and to practice social distancing.  A mask must be worn throughout the stay.  You must supply your mask.

Mrs. Rosa May Felton Walker was born on May 28, 1943, as the beloved daughter of Jimmy and Elnora Savage Felton. She grew up surrounded by her siblings, Jessie (Helen) Felton, Sudie B. (Tilson) Fordom, Verna Mae (Elijah) Smith, and Mary (Arthur) Quarterman. Each of her family members, including her parents and siblings, preceded her in death.

Rosa was baptized at a young age at the County Line Baptist Church in the Tremont Community, where she began her lifelong dedication to her faith. Her education included attending Holsey-Cobb Institute, Gillespie-Selden Institute, and A. S. Clark High School, where she was known for her role as a drum major.

Rosa married Israel Walker, who preceded her in death on November 2, 2024, together they shared many years together.  Her daughter, Geraldine Lewis and granddaughter, Fateenmia Lawton, also precedes her in death.

Rosa was a dedicated homemaker and sharecropper for many years. Later, she worked as a custodian at Crisp County High School and in the housekeeping department at Cordele Royal Care. When her health began to decline, she relocated from Cordele to Milledgeville, Georgia.

Rosa cherished spending quality time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, sharing stories of her life and adventures with her siblings. She had a passion for fishing and enjoyed listening to gospel music, reading her Bible, and the Daily Bread as she relaxed on her porch. Her faith remained strong, and she attended church services online with unwavering devotion.

Rosa's life was a testament to love, faith, and resilience. Her spirit and the memories she created will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.

On Monday, April 21, 2025, Rosa May Felton Walker peacefully transitioned to her eternal rest. She leaves behind a rich and happy life filled with wonder memories to her children, Greta Mosley of Milledgeville, Georgia, Johnny Felton of Greensboro, North Carolina, Barbara Freeman of Cordele, Georgia, Lawanda Felton of Milledgeville, Georgia, and Teresa Lewis of Jacksonville, Florida; 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren; her brothers-in-law, Arthur Quarterman and Elijah Smith; her goddaughters, Toya Wright and Verlinda Samuels; her godly sons, Stanley Reeves, Pastor Rechard Larkin, Pastor Lee Wornum, Pastor James Harris, Jr., Deacon George Richardson, and Reverend Virgil Larkin; many nieces and devoted nephews, including: Jesse Felton, Jr., Larry Felton, Grealin Felton, Minister Christopher Felton, Jimmy Felton, and Scottie Griffin; many cousins, to include her devoted cousins, Edna   Breedlove, Rosa Lee Jones, and Sallie B. Mason; a host of other  relatives and many sorrowing friends.
