United States Navy Veteran Mr. Roland Eugene Scott, II of Macon, Georgia, died Monday, March 16, 2026, at the Crisp Regional Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cordele, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, April 3, 2026, at 12:00 Noon, in the chapel of the J. W. Williams Funeral Home in Cordele, Georgia.  The burial, with military honors, will follow at the Bethel Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia.

Mr. Roland Eugene Scott, II was born on February 4, 1957, in Houston County, Georgia. He was the beloved son of Mr. Roland Eugene Scott, Sr., and Mrs. Geraldine Quick Scott. Growing up in Georgia, Roland developed a strong sense of duty and commitment, values that would later define his career and life.

Roland's dedication to his country was evident when he enlisted in the United States Navy. His service was marked by honor and distinction, a testament to his unwavering dedication and exceptional capabilities. Among his many accomplishments, Roland was awarded the prestigious Navy Silver Dolphin Badge, a recognition for successfully completing the rigorous qualification process required to serve aboard a United States Navy Submarine. This accolade symbolizes not only his technical proficiency but also his resilience and determination.

Mr. Roland Eugene Scott, II lived a life that exemplified the virtues of dedication, honor, and love. His contributions to his country and the lasting memories of his service speak volumes of his character.  For those who knew him best, he will be   remembered as a man who served his nation with distinction.

On Monday, March 16, 2026, Roland transitioned peacefully from this life at the Crisp Regional Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Roland leaves memories to his sister, Patricia Leggins of Macon, Georgia; his brother, Gregory C. Scott of Macon, Georgia; his aunt, Christine Reid Harper of Macon, Georgia; his nieces and nephews; other relatives, and friends.
