Mr. Roderick Terrell Chambliss, Sr. of 306 West 25th Avenue, Cordele, Georgia passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2025.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, March 2, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of the J. W. Williams Funeral Home in Cordele, Georgia.  The burial will follow at the Sunnyside Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia.

Everyone entering the funeral home for visitations or services must wear a mask and practice social distancing.  A mask must be worn throughout the stay.  You must supply your mask.

Roderick Terrell Chambliss, Sr., affectionately known as "Deedy" to family and friends, was a man whose presence brought joy and love to all who knew him. Born on May 26, 1972, to Ms. Frances P. Chambliss and the late Mr. Nathaniel Fenn, Deedy lived a life full of passion and dedication to his loved ones. On Tuesday, February 25, 2025, Deedy's earthly journey came to a close. While his passing leaves a profound void in our lives, we find solace in knowing he is no longer suffering and that God has tenderly wiped away all his tears.

During his high school years, Roderick participated in the Georgia Southwestern University Upward Bound program, an experience that enriched his academic journey. He proudly graduated from Crisp County High School as part of the class of 1990. Roderick furthered his education at Georgia Southwestern University, where he continued to develop his skills and knowledge.

Roderick held many cherished roles in life: a devoted son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. His generous spirit and willingness to help others defined his character. Deedy's greatest joy was his family, especially his beloved mother and granddaughters.

Roderick had a passion for football, always betting on his favorite team, the Denver Broncos. His love for cars and his talent as a math wiz were also well-known among those who knew him.

In celebrating the life of Roderick Terrell Chambliss, Sr., we honor a man who lived with love, laughed with joy, and left an indelible mark on the hearts of those privileged to know him.

Roderick leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories to his devoted and loving mother, Ms. Frances P. Chambliss of   Cordele, Georgia, his children, Mrs. Rodreaka Morgan (Devion) of Byron, Georgia, Ms. Nikitress Chambliss of Albany, Georgia, Mr. Roderick T. Chambliss, Jr. of Tucson, Arizona, and Ms. Jakhari  Huffins, US Army of Sierra Vista, Arizona; his granddaughters, Kennedi, Harmoni, Imani Morgan, and Kamora Edmond; his sister, Ms. Sharon Chambliss of Cordele, Georgia; his brothers,  Mr. David Chambliss, Jr., Mr. Willie Chambliss (Sandra), Mr. James Chambliss (Kathy), Mr. Christopher Chambliss, Sr. (Shalietha) of Cordele, Georgia, Mr. Alvin Fenn and Mr. Johnathan Fenn of Atlanta,  Georgia; his aunts and uncles, Mr. Bobby Adams of Savannah, Georgia, Mr. Eddie Lingo and Ms. Sarah Fletcher of Miami, Florida, Mr. Patrick Parker (Maxine) of Waycross, Georgia, and Ms. Sharon Parker of Sarasota, Florida;  his "Teddy Bear," Ms. Keisha Brown of Cordele, Georgia, his nieces and nephews; a host of other relatives and friends, including his Crisp County High School class of 1990 classmates, will forever cherish his memory.
