Mr. Robert A. Young, Esq. of 3576 Charles Avenue, Miami Florida; passed away at his residence on Wednesday, October 24, 2024.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, November 3, 2024, at 4:30 PM in the chapel of the J. W. Williams Funeral Home in Cordele, Georgia.  The burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Church Cemetery in Byromville, Georgia.

Everyone entering the funeral home for visitations or services must wear a mask and practice social distancing.  A mask must be worn throughout the stay.  You must supply your mask.

In loving memory of Robert Anthony Young, who graced this world with his presence on March 16, 1952, in Byromville, Georgia, born to the loving embrace of Robert Young and Earline Lester Young.  He was a beloved and cherished son of this union, surrounded by the care of his large extended family.

Robert's journey through life took root in Dooly County, where he, along with brothers were reared. His childhood in Dooly County gave the foundation for his never quit mindset that he carried with him when his family moved to Miami, Florida. Educated under the guidance of the public school system, Robert's journey through learning continued as a student at Coral Gables High School.  He continued to soar in his quest for higher education at the University of Miami where he completed his undergraduate studies.  Equipped with a deep desire to excel led him to the Southern University Law School where he earned his Juris Doctorate degree.

Robert's sense of community and belonging, was shaped early in life growing up with his brothers and continued as a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. He found joy in serving others as was demonstrated through his involvement in several boards and his work in community services.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Robert enjoyed being on the tennis court and bike riding.  In other moments he could be found watching the news and conversating about the current happenings of the world.

Above all, Robert's presence illuminated every room, and his  absence leaves a void that can never be filled. In the hearts of those who loved him, Robert's memory will forever reside, a  beacon of light guiding them through the darkest of days.  On Friday, October 25, 2024, he joined his parents, his daughter, Annisa; his siblings, Coy Barron, Jr., Sammie Lee  Barron and Larry Barron; and his aunts and uncles, Lizzie Mae Lester, Mary Lester, Martha Howard, Susie Smith, James Lester, Charles Lester and Paulette Lester, in a place of rest.

He is survived by his dearly loved and devoted wife, Veronica Cox Young of Miami, Florida; his granddaughter, Christina Young of Miami, Florida; his great grandchildren, Anissa and Marcus, Young of Miami, Florida; his siblings, Robert C. Young, David J. Young, Ricky A. Young, and Stevie L. Young of Miami Gardens, Florida, Dannie E. Young of Opa Locka, Florida, David Barron (Ariebelle), John Thomas Barron, Willie Fred Barron, Joe Barron, Ben Barron, Janie Winters, and Judy Barron all of Byromville, Georgia; his aunt, Susie Smith of Jacksonville, Florida; his in-laws, Sharon Daniels, Albert Daniels, Dawn Hasty, Shanda Malonado, and Miguel Maldonado; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, to include, Cornelius Shiver and Leon Leonard of Coconut Grove, Florida.
