The funeral service will be held Saturday, April 13, 2024 at  4:00 PM in the chapel of the J. W. Williams Funeral Home in Cordele, Georgia.  The burial will follow at the Vienna City Cemetery in Vienna, Georgia.

Everyone entering the funeral home for visitations or services is required to wear a mask and to practice social distancing.  A mask must be worn throughout the stay.  You must supply your own mask.

Roalie Adams was born December 7, 1958 in Byromville, Georgia to Mr. J. C. Adams and Mrs. Addie Willie Tinsley Adams.

He was educated in the public school system.  He accepted Christ as his personal Savior and united with the Byrom Chapel CME Church in Byromville, Georgia.

Roalie could often be found listening to music and softly humming alone to the sounds that fell upon his ears.  He  truly appreciated all types of music.

Roalie was an avid walker and enjoyed spending time outside with nature.  He was an early morning riser and often could be seen outside before sunrise.  He was an upright walker up until the last month of his life when he had to be hospitalized; that prevented him from doing so.

Roalie lived his life with the attitude of "I am smarter than a 5th grader".  One of his favorite expressions was "Y'all can't tell me nothing!   I am the smartest one in the family!"

On Tuesday, April 9, 2024 he peacefully transitioned from this life to life everlasting.  His parents, along with his siblings, Diane Adams, J. C. Adams, Jr. and Jim Adams, each precede him in death.

Memories of his life will be remembered by his loving sisters, Ruthie Trice of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mae Nell Hardrick of Vienna, Georgia, Lucy Adams of Smyrna, Georgia, Bernell (Roddy) Ross of Perry, Georgia and Betty (Stanley) Merrell of Vienna, Georgia; his beloved brothers, Curtis  Adams of Venna, Georgia, Jerome (Mary) Adams of Cordele, Georgia, Alonza (Deborah) Adams of Perry, Georgia, and Michael Peyton Lango of Tampa, Florida; his aunt, Flossie Downing of Winter Haven, Florida; a host of nieces and nephews, to include, his special niece and special nephew, Alexus "Pooney" Hardrick and Big Mike of Cordele, Georgia; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends to include his special friends, Larry Collier and Joseph Black.
