The Reverend James Arthur Robinson of Snellville, Georgia, formerly of Lee County, Georgia, died Monday, January 5, 2026, at his residence.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 10:00 AM in the sanctuary of the Mount Able Baptist Church in Lee County, Georgia.  The burial will follow at the Saddler Cemetery in Desoto, Georgia.

Born in Lee County, Georgia, on June 8, 1944, Reverend James Arthur Robinson, was the seventh of thirteen children to Clarence and Lizzie Robinson. Growing up in a large family, he learned the values of love, resilience, and community, which he carried with him throughout his life.

On December 5, 1965, James married the love of his life, Revirginia Morns. Together, they shared a beautiful journey of 60 years, filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. Their union was blessed with three wonderful children: Pamela, Shekeia, and Reginald.

James had a distinguished career as a chef, showcasing his culinary talents at Fort Benning Air Force Base and Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. His passion for food extended beyond his professional life, as he became a successful restaurateur, sharing his love for cuisine with the community.

Deeply committed to his faith, Reverend Robinson was ordained as a Deacon at Mt. Able Baptist Church and later licensed as a Minister at First Monumental Baptist Church. His spiritual leadership and guidance touched the lives of many, offering support and solace to those in need.

In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, watching western movies, and embarking on food tours, indulging his curiosity and love for new  experiences. He also had a sweet spot for ice cream, a simple pleasure that brought him joy.

Though he is preceded in death by his parents and eleven siblings, Eva Mae Carter, Evangelist Minnie Jewel Fleming, Clarence Robinson,  Annie Maude Smith, Jimmy Robinson, Annie Kate Robinson, Reverend William "Pee Wee" Robinson, Ezell Robinson, Charles Robinson,  Christopher Robinson, and Gloria Jean Sweeney, Reverend Robinson's legacy lives on through  those who were blessed to have him as a part of their lives.

Cherishing his life and his legacy, he leaves his wife, Revirginia M. Robinson,  his children, Eisakastoeia Robinson, Pamela Morns Adams (Wallace), and Reginald D. Moore; his grandchildren,  Zykiah Moore, Raven Newton (Nick), Armani Armstrong, Terrius Bibbs-Moore,  Reginald J. Moore, Joshua Moore, Ryan W. Adams, and Sundai D. Robinson; his great-grandchildren, Jordyan M. Moore, China T. Moore, Lake J. Jester, Uriah Newton, and Aiden Allen; his sister, Lizzie Wesley; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and host of other relatives who were dear to him: his nephew and friend, James Fleming, Murray L. Williams, Willie G. Morns, Reverend Gregory Cutts, his daughter-in-law, Phaedra Bibbs-Moore, and Pamela G. Kendrick.
