Mr. Octavius Lamar Jackson of 95 Shannon Ridge Drive, Warner Robins, Georgia died Saturday, May 7, 2022.
The graveside funeral service will be held Sunday, May 15, 2022 at 1:00 PM at the Bethel Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia. Everyone in attendance is asked to please wear a mask and to practice social distancing.
Octavius Lamar Jackson was born August 19, 1983 in Cordele, Crisp County, Georgia. He was born to Mr. Billy James and Mrs. Patricia Jackson White.
A "free-spirit," he received his education from the public schools of Crisp County. He was a proud 2002 graduate of Crisp County High School.
Early in life he accepted Christ and was baptized at the Gethsemane Baptist Church. He was an active member of the Usher Board. He was also a member of the local Boy Scout Troop.
Along with the many activities he enjoyed, he was also a huge Miami Dolphins fan. Octavius had been employed by the City of Cordele.
On Saturday, May 7, 2022 he transitioned from this life. His father and his brother, Mr. Carlos James, preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. James and Mrs. Daisy Burkett and Deacon Charlie and Mother Fannie Mae James.
Many cherished memories are left to his loving and devoted mother and stepfather, Mrs. Patricia White and Mr. Willie White of Cordele, Georgia; a beloved brother, Mr. Devon Dade of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; his stepbrothers, Mr. Demarcus White of Cocoa, Florida, Mr. Adrian White and Mr. Brian White both of Cordele, Georgia, Mr. Cornelius White of Charleston, South Carolina, Mr. Michael White of Jacksonville, Florida, and Mr. Jeremy White of Seattle, Washington; his aunts and uncles, Mr. Andrew Jackson (Sandra), Ms. Sarah Jackson, Ms. Doris Jackson, Ms. Chineata Jackson, Deacon Bobby Lee James (Yvonne), Mr. Tommy Lee James, Mr. Sammy James, Ms. Patricia Paul, and Mrs. Betty Walker (Willie) all of Cordele, Georgia, Ms. Virginia Spivey of Fort Pierce, Florida, Mr. Charlie James, Jr. of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Louise Hicks (Timothy) of Vienna, Georgia, Mrs. Bessie Lewis and Mrs. Alma Jones; a host of loving cousins, to include a loving and devoted cousin, Ms. Tabatha Jackson of Cordele, Georgia, a host other relatives and many sorrowing friends, to include a family friend, Ms. Connie James of Cordele, Georgia.
