Ms. Nikeria Alexivs Batten of Tampa, Florida, died Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at HCA South Florida Tampa Hospital in Tampa, Florida.

The funeral service will be held Friday, July 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the sanctuary of the Zion Grove Baptist Church in Oakfield, Georgia.  The burial will follow at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Oakfield, Georgia.

Nikeria Alexivs Batten, a cherished soul who graced this world on November 8, 2000, in Albany, Georgia, left us too soon on Wednesday, July 2, 2025. Her sudden departure, alongside her  precious son, Jakari Jaquon Lewis, Jr., has left an irreplaceable void in the hearts of all who knew her.

Nikeria was the beloved daughter of the late Freddie Lee McPhatter, Sr. and the late Benits Jean Batten. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Friendly Knight, Elise Hammonds, Benjamin Hill, and Maxine Morris, as well as her aunt and uncle, John McPhatter and Annie Lois Young (Otis).

Nikeria's early education began at Blackshear Trail Elementary School, J. S. Pate Primary School, and Crisp County Middle School in Cordele, Georgia. After moving to Tampa, Florida, she proudly earned her high school diploma from Living Free Christian Academy.

Her spiritual journey began at Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Oakfield, Georgia, where she sang in the Junior Choir. After relocating to Tampa, she continued her faith journey at Glory Bible Fellowship under the leadership of Apostle Phillip & Angela Jenkins.

Nikeria was a vibrant and loving individual, known for her passion for cheering, dancing, and singing. Her voice was a gift that captivated everyone around her. She was not only a talented cheerleader during her middle school years but also a devoted mother who took immense pride in caring for her son, Kannon. Her intelligence, hard work, and loving nature shone brightly in every aspect of her life.

Nikeria's radiant spirit will forever be remembered and cherished by all who were fortunate to know her. Her memory will continue to be a guiding light for her family and friends, offering comfort and inspiration in the days ahead.

Nikeria leaves a legacy of love and cherished memories to her special friend: Jakari Jaquon Lewis of Tampa, Florida; her adored son: Kannon Amir Batten of Riverview, Florida; her loving sister: Estra Batten-Douglas (Deangelo) of Sycamore, Georgia; her beloved brothers: Nukemar Batten of Cordele, Georgia, Esau Batten of Atlanta, Georgia, Zeckary Batten of Sylvester, Georgia, and Freddie Lee McPhatter, Jr. of Albany, Georgia; her aunts and uncles: Doris Dassie, Calvin Hammonds, and Robert Hammonds of Sylvester, Georgia, Catherine Collins (Larry) of Tampa, Florida, Laura Bivens of Riverview, Florida, Ronnie Morris (Latrell) of Cordele, Georgia; her nephew: Jayden Aimir Batten of Albany, Georgia; her cousins: Oneisha Morris and Jayla Morris both of Albany, Georgia, Dashawn Paul, Dreaa Paul, and Shamia Weldon of Riverview, Florida, Chelsea Weldon and Christy Waters of Cordele, Georgia; her best friend: Chaleria "Sparkle" Thorpe of Cordele, Georgia; a host of  other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
