Ms. Sabrina She Mobley of 206 North Bass Street, Cordele, Georgia, died on Monday, September 7, 2026, at the Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 5:00 PM in the chapel of the J. W. Williams Funeral Home in Cordele, Georgia. The burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Unadilla, Georgia.
Ms. Sabrina S. Mobley, affectionately known to all who loved her as “Sweet Pea,” was born on July 21, 1975, in Miami, Florida, to the late Ms. Rose Mary Mobley and Mr. Bobby Hollis.
Sweet Pea spent her early childhood attending elementary school in Miami before her mother returned home to Unadilla, Georgia. There, she continued her education, and attended the Dooly County High School. A woman of deep and enduring faith, she accepted Christ into her life early and joined Camp Creek Missionary Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of Rev. J.T. Hill. Later in life, she also faithfully attended Christian Faith Church of God in Christ in Cordele, Georgia. She truly loved going to church.
Throughout her life, Sweet Pea was known for her diligent work ethic, holding several jobs and approaching every task with dedication. She embodied a vibrant, genuine spirit and brought warmth, laughter, and light into every room she entered. Sweet Pea took immense joy in life’s everyday pleasures—cooking comforting meals for those she loved, relaxing while watching her favorite television shows, shopping trips, and unwinding to the sounds of classic "oldie goldies." Unmatched in her sense of style, flair, and grace, she was truly the self-proclaimed Queen of dressing up.
Above all else, Sweet Pea’s greatest devotion belonged to her family. Her children were the center of her world; she was a fiercely selfless mother who would give her very last dime to ensure their happiness, sharing a uniquely tender bond with her daughter.
On Monday, September 7, 2026, our beloved Sweet Pea peacefully transitioned into the arms of the Lord. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Ms. Rose Mary Mobley and Mr. Bobby Hollis and her great grandparents, James Richard Mobley and Alphonza Marshall Mobley.
Her beautiful life and legacy will be cherished by her husband, Eddie McGriff; her loving children, Ethan McGriff and Saniyah McGriff of Cordele, Georgia; her sister, Hope Mobley of Cordele, Georgia; her aunt, Dorothy (Melvin) West of Miami, Florida; her uncle, Charlie (Loretta) Hollis of Miami, Florida; her nieces and nephew, Jaziyah Mobley Makayla Mobley and Zakari Williams all of Cordele, Georgia; her god mother, Gwendolyn (Carl, Sr.) Henry of Unadilla, Georgia; her god sisters, Chelsey Thoams of Fort Valley, Georgia and RaQuetta McCoy of Ashburn, Georgia; a great and dear friend, Rodrick Ross of Cordele, Georgia; her god niece, Dyshaeveona McCoy of Ashburn, Georgia; a very special cousin, Annette Mobley of Miami, Florida; her brother-in-law, Christopher (Andrea) McGriff of Cordele, Georgia; a host of cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
