Mrs. Sumeteria Trice Jackson

Mrs. Sumeteria Trice Jackson, formerly of Cordele, Georgia, died Sunday, July 5, 2026 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in Tallahassee, Florida.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 10:00 AM in the chapel of the J. W. Williams Funeral Home in Cordele, Georgia.

Sumeteria Trice Jackson was born on November 21, 1969 in Cordele, Crisp County, Georgia. She was the beloved daughter of the late Melvin Trice and the late Betty Doris Williams Trice. She peacefully transitioned on Saturday, July 5, 2026, at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in Tallahassee, Florida.

She received her education in Titusville, Florida, and went on to live a life centered around family, love, and laughter.

Sumeteria was truly full of joy and lived life to the fullest. Her infectious laughter and vibrant spirit brightened every room she entered. She had a passion for cooking, dancing, listening to music, and unwinding with classic television shows. Above all, her heart belonged to her family—she adored them beyond measure and cherished every moment spent with her beloved grandchildren. Anyone who knew Sumeteria will forever remember her favorite saying with a smile: "You Better Know It!"

Sumeteria’s loving memory will forever be cherished by her husband, Eddie Lee Jackson of Tallahassee, Florida; her children, Sumeteria Trice of Cordele, Georgia, Betty Trice of Valdosta, Georgia, Latoya Trice of Warner Robins, Georgia, and Baron McKenzie, Jr. of Cordele, Georgia; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her brothers, Lonnie Coleman, Jr., Anthony Williams, and Bernard Williams all of Cordele, Georgia; her sisters, Patricia Trice of Jacksonville, Florida and Antionette Merritt of Florida; her aunts and uncles, Bernice Pittman (Freddie) and Minnie Mitchell, both of Cordele, Georgia, Agnes Stubbs (Eddie) of Stockbridge, Georgia, James Trice (Lucy) of Cordele, Georgia, Ricky Walker of Macon, Georgia, Earnest Trice, Cecil Byrom, and Wilhelmina Williams, all of Cordele, Georgia, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
