Mr. Warren Evans

Mr. Warren Evans of 414 East Woodward Street, Vienna, Georgia, died Friday, August 14, 2026, at Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of the J. W. Williams Funeral Home in Cordele, Georgia.

Warren Evans was born on August 12, 1952, in Cobb, Georgia, to the late Lonnie C. Evans, Jr. and Georgia Mae Harris Evans. Educated in the Sumter County School System, Warren grew up with a deep appreciation for community, hard work, and fellowship. At an early age, he accepted Christ and became a member of New Zion Baptist Church in Cobb, Georgia.

Warren had a vibrant spirit and an undeniable love for the outdoors. Whether he was holding a fishing rod by the water, playing a game of baseball, or firing up the grill for a cookout, he found pure happiness under the open sky. He could spend an entire day peacefully sitting outside, simply listening to the birds chirp. To know Warren was to experience warmth and laughter—he was truly the life of the party and cherished every opportunity to gather with family and friends.

On August 14, 2026, just two days following his 74th birthday, Warren peacefully completed his earthly journey. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents and his siblings: Betty Walker, Gloria Roberson, Laverne Roberson, Lonnie Evans, James Evans, and Author Robinson.

Warren’s love, laughter, and legacy will forever live on in the hearts of his children: Christopher Evans of Uvalda, Georgia; Sherrie Blackshear of Cordele, Georgia; Petrochelli Evans of Ashland, Kentucky; and Katreasa Evans of Plains, Georgia; his grandchildren: a devoted granddaughter, Amiracle S. Peacock (Latavis Hall); Tameya Evans-Hicks and Shamya Evans Hicks of Americus, Georgia; Ashlen Wilson, Jr., Ashten Wilson, King Thomas, Armani Fields, Rathainal Daniels, III, Jasmine Blackshear, and Traevon Blackshear, all of Cordele, Georgia; Jason Nevin of South Dakota; Cyera Evans and Kezington Evans of Ashland, Kentucky; Joshua Blachand of Florida; Olivia Stolz and Jamil Esmailjee of Orlando, Florida; and Patience Aubrielle Peacock and Reontay Miller, Jr. of Vienna, Georgia; a host of loving great-grandchildren; his sister, Mildred Carter of Desoto, Georgia; his brothers, Norman Evans (Queen) of Birmingham, Alabama and Reverend Mike Charles Evans (Nancy) of Vienna, Georgia; his nieces & nephews: Sharon Roberson, Mekica Roberson, Genell Harris, Kelly Gunter (James), Deborah Walker, Jennifer Clark, Tasha Wallace, Carolyn Genell Reddick (Robert), Kourtney Evans, Cynthia Evans, James Calvin Evans, Jr., Sennica Harris, Quinton Clark, Kevin Wallace, Seth Walker, Lance Walker, Author Walker, Vladis Daniels, Jr., Qwaneshia Roberson, KaJarvis Daniels, and Kauun Daniels; a special friend: Jessica Porter of Cordele, Georgia; a host of cousins, extended family members, and many sorrowing friends.
