Mr. Kendrick Lincoln Thomas

Mr. Kendrick Lincoln Thomas of 101 Garden Lane, Americus, Georgia, died Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Piedmont Midtown Hospital in Columbus, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 10:00 AM in the sanctuary of Central Baptist Church in Americus, Georgia. The burial will follow at the Eastview Cemetery in Americus, Georgia.

Mr. Kendrick Lincoln Thomas was born on October 17, 1987, in Dougherty County, Georgia, to the late Mr. Levi Chris Thomas, Sr. and Mrs. Vera N. Banks-Thomas.

Kendrick received his education through the Americus-Sumter County School System and graduated from Americus-Sumter High School in 2006, where he proudly served as Vice President of the Class of 2006. Following graduation, he attended Georgia Southwestern State University, where he served as an Executive Assistant with the African American Male Institute. Kendrick was also a dedicated servant of his community, proudly serving on the board of the Americus Chapter of the NAACP. Through his leadership and commitment, he worked to promote equality, justice, and positive change, leaving a lasting impact on those he served.

In 2017, Kendrick proudly began his career with the Georgia Department of Corrections, serving at Macon State Prison. In 2019, he transferred to Rutledge State Prison, where he faithfully served as a Sergeant with the Centralized Transportation Unit. He remained a dedicated and committed public servant in that role until his passing.

Kendrick was truly a "Jack of All Trades." In his spare time, he embraced his entrepreneurial spirit as the CEO and owner of KTP Photography, where he captured life's most memorable moments through his passion for photography. A gifted creative, Kendrick had an eye for detail and a talent for bringing ideas to life.

His creativity extended far beyond the camera. He was a skilled seamster and fashion enthusiast who designed custom bow ties, ascots, and other accessories, always adding his own unique flair and impeccable sense of style. Kendrick was also an accomplished drummer whose love for music was evident to all who knew him. In addition, he excelled in graphic design and multimedia, creating flyers, business cards, and a variety of promotional materials for individuals, businesses, and organizations. Whatever the task, Kendrick approached it with excellence, creativity, and dedication.

Kendrick was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Mr. Levi Chris Thomas, Sr. and Mrs. Vera N. Banks-Thomas.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories his beloved daughter, Kari Thomas of Swainsboro, Georgia; his sisters, Lysistra Thomas, who was his devoted caregiver and Katrina (Charles) Thomas-Watts of Tamuning, Guam; his brothers, Jeffrey Austin of Houston, Texas, Theodore (Blessed) Banks of Riverdale, Georgia, Chris Thomas, Sr of Leesburg, Georgia, Kelvin Frederick of Hampton, Georgia, Kelvin Styles of Plains, Georgia and Levi Thomas, Jr. of Albany, Georgia; his aunts: Jackie Jones of Americus, Georgia, Bertha Jones, of Morrow, Georgia, Ira Jones, of Americus, Georgia, Denise (Tony) Whitehead of California, Valerie Smith of Missouri, Susie Nell Lopez of Chicago, Illinois, and Nadine King of Smithville, Georgia; his uncles, John (Doniko) Jones, of Boston, Massachusetts, Milton Jones of Americus, Georgia, and Jessie (Bertha) Banks of Riverdale, Georgia, Joseph (Laura) Smith of Unadilla, Georgia; his nephews, KeArius Williams, (devoted) of Americus, Georgia, Christopher Banks of Preston, Georgia, Christopher Thomas, Jr. of Hawaii, Miles Frederick of Atlanta, Georgia, Brandon Frederick of Atlanta, Georgia, DeVenta McCray and Joshua Thomas both of Albany, Georgia; his nieces, Amber Banks of Preston, Georgia, MyAngel Thomas of Albany, Georgia, Shabari Jones of Albany, Georgia.
