Dennis Denzel Hamilton was born on February 8, 1999, in Americus, Georgia, to the late Dennis Baxter Hamilton and Aundra Berryhill Hamilton. Grounded in family, faith, and community, Dennis grew up to be a man defined by his humble demeanor, tireless work ethic, and quiet dedication to everyone he loved.
A proud product of the Sumter County public school system, Dennis Denzel was a high-achieving student and an active leader. He graduated with honors in 2017 from Americus-Sumter County High School, having balanced rigorous Dual Enrollment coursework with a vibrant school life. Whether competing on the football field, serving in the Beta Club, developing his potential through Youth Leadership and the Embodi initiative, or participating in the Men’s Club, Dennis Denzel led by example. Following high school, he continued to expand his skills and education at South Georgia Technical College.
From an early age, Dennis accepted Christ as his personal savior and was a faithful member of St. John Baptist Church in Leslie, Georgia. His spiritual foundation guided him in every role he carried: husband, exceptional father, loving son, protective brother, and dependable friend.
Hardworking to his core, Dennis always maintained steady employment and took immense pride in providing for his household. Those who knew Dennis Denzel best will always remember his warm, vibrant personality. He was a natural talker who could strike up a conversation with anyone, and he had a true appreciation for good food—eating with the same hearty appetite and joy as his father. Above all, Dennis Denzel cherished the peace of home and took great comfort in resting, sleeping, and simply unwinding in the company of his family.
