Mother Mattie Pearl Genwright Daniel of 178 3rd Street, Arabi, Georgia, died Sunday, November 9, 2025, at the Cordele Health and Rehabilitation Center in Cordele, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the sanctuary of the Little Rock Baptist Church in Arabi, Georgia.  The burial will follow at the Bethel Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia.

Mother Mattie Pearl Genwright Daniel was born on June 26, 1927, in Tifton, Georgia, to the late Sammy and Lonnie Boston Genwright.

Mother Mattie Pearl was a faithful and devoted member of the Little Rock Baptist Church in Arabi, Georgia, under the leadership of Pastor Joseph Greene.

She was a sweet and humble woman of few words, known for her beautiful smile and gentle spirit.  Always dressed in grace and elegance, she loved to wear hats that perfectly matched her outfits.  Her favorite color was pink, and she enjoyed playing bingo and solving crossword puzzles.

On July 30, 1949, she was united in holy matrimony to the late Lonnie Allen Daniel.  Their marriage was blessed with 65 years of love and companionship until his passing in June of 2012.

Mother Mattie Pearl was preceded in death by four sisters, Annie Mae (Wright) Byron, Mae Etta (Gilbert) Lofton, Essie Thomas, and Melvin Genwright.

On Sunday, November 9, 2025, Mother Mattie Pearl peacefully transitioned from this earthly life, and heaven gained a beautiful angel.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories her devoted and loving only child, Benjamin (Verdell) Genwright of Cordele, Georgia, four grandchildren, Rodney Jones of Cordele, Georgia, LaQuita Genwright of Ashburn, Georgia, Ta'Bais (Zanae)  Genwright, Sr., and Shakila Killins of Warner Robins, Georgia; eight great grandchildren, Gabrielle Genwright, Kierra Jones, Jalen Jones, Ry'darrius Jones, Kimberly Jones, Jonathan Jones, Ta'Bais Genwright, Jr., and Masiyah Killins, four great, great, grandchildren, Dylan Jones, Khelani Jones, Shaniah Young, Mar'Lynn Knight; two caring godchildren, Marletti Guest and David Nance of Cordele, Georgia; one sister-in-law, Mother Adeline Lofton of Arabi, Georgia; two caring nephews, Deacon Johnny L. (Gennette) Genwright, Sr. of Tifton, Georgia and Carlton Lofton of Dallas, Texas; loving nieces, Vivian Genwright Carter and Linda Genwright Pettiford of Tifton, Georgia, Ella Mae Williams of Tampa, Florida, and Ola B. Lofton of Arabi, Georgia; her extended family include, Mickie and Jen Rogers and family of Arabi, Georgia, and the Royal and Lofton families of Tampa, Florida.  She was also blessed with caring friends, Maurice and Carol Dowdell of Cordele, Georgia, and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, church members, and friends who will forever remember her kind heart and loving nature.

Mother Mattie Pearl's life was a shining example of grace, faith, and quiet strength.  Her love for God, her family, and her            community will continue to live on through all those who were blessed to know her.
