Mother Judie Mae Demps Dawson of 380 South Cottage Hill Road, Orlando, Florida died Saturday, August 12, 2023 at her residence.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of the J. W. Williams Funeral Home in Cordele, Georgia. The burial will follow at the Vienna City Cemetery in Vienna, Georgia.
Everyone entering the funeral home for visitations or services is required to wear a mask and to practice social distancing. A mask must be worn throughout the stay. You must supply your own mask.
Our beloved, Judie Mae Demps Dawson was born February 13, 1936. She was born to the late Mary Frances Demps.
She was educated in the public school system. She attended the Quitman High School.
A believer in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, she united with the Piney Grove Baptist Church in Vienna, Georgia. She served faithfully in whatever capacity she could. After moved to Orlando, Florida, she attended Grace Bible Church of Central Florida.
On Saturday, August 12, 2023 she peacefully transitioned from this life to life eternal. Her beloved husband, James, preceded her in death on January 14, 2007. Her daughters, Barbara Ann Dawson and Theresa A. Hillmon and her brother, Robert Demps, also precede her in death.
Cherishing her life and her love, she leaves her loving and devoted children, Betty Brown of Orlando, Florida, Erma D. Thomas, Jerry L. Dawson, and Jessie Dawson of Ashburn, Georgia; 16 loving grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; 10 great, great grandchildren; a loving sister, Margie Robinson of Chester, Pennsylvania; her beloved brothers, Edward (Debbie) Demps, Williams (Barbara) Demps, and Albert Demps of Chester, Pennsylvania; a beloved aunt, Emma Gosier of Quitman, Georgia; her nieces and nephews; many cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends, to include a dear family friend, Eunice Lewis of Vienna, Georgia and her CNAs, Onita Brown and Sandar of Orlando, Florida.
