Mother Ella Mae Moye Haugabrook of 1530 East 20th Avenue, Cordele, Georgia died Friday, June 9, 2023 at Pruitt Health Palmyra in Albany, Georgia.

On February 6, 1933, a beautiful and wonderful blessing was born to the late Sam Moye and the late Matilda McKever when they welcomed a daughter whom they named Ella Mae. The beauty of her life and the light she shared was evident as she grew up in her birthplace of Dooly County, Georgia.
While growing up she was not afforded many educational opportunities, but her eagerness and willingness to learn carried her far in life. The skills of sewing and ironing learned early in her life allowed her to be a constant provider for her family. With her strong will and unwavering determination she lived a life of love and was blessed to be a blessing to others.
Mother Haugabrook, a worshipper, believed that the Lord would make a way and she always shared the goodness of the Lord with others. She served the Lord with other believers as a member of Grace Emmanuel Ark of the Covenant Worship Center in Albany, Georgia.
A woman of many talents, she never met a stranger. Over the years, her work at Parker's Flower Shop and JW Designs was always appreciated and valued. Her eye for beauty was displayed in each of the pieces she designed. Mother Haugabrook was also an excellent cook. She took great pride in cooking and her pies would simply melt in your mouth.
On Friday, June 9, 2023, our beautiful blessing was set free from the cares of this life. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Eright "Ben" Haugabrook.
The beauty of her life will be cherished by her loving and devoted family: her children, Edna Bell (Sammie Lee) of Columbia, South Carolina and Auther Haugabrook (Sherryl) of Albany, Georgia; her grandchildren, Samuel Bernard Bell, Alex James Bell, and Cecily L. Bell of Columbia, South Carolina, Auther Haugabrook, Jr. (Tekole Bryant) of Sale City, Georgia, Jamilya Haugabrook and Adrienne Haugabrook of Albany, Georgia; 16 great grandchildren; four great, great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends, to include, Linda McCray Dean, C. L. McCray, Geneva McCray, Bobbi Faye Yowe, Bridgett Nelson, Peggy Crenshaw, Renee Frazier, Billy Parker and family, Chassity Green and family, Joseph Ward, Martha Lynn Harper, and Sammie Taylor.
