Mother Bobbie Lou Anthony Woodham of 214 Railroad Street, Desoto, Georgia died Thursday, October 12, 2023 at her residence.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the sanctuary of the Zion Hill Baptist Church in Leslie, Georgia. The burial will follow at the Council Cemetery in Leslie, Georgia.
On April 3, 1922, a beautiful and loving spirit was born to the parentage of the late Aaron Anthony and the late Maggie K. Fennell. Our beloved, Bobbie Lou Anthony Woodham was born, raised and educated in raised in Sumter County.
A believer in the Lord, Jesus Christ, she was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Desota, Georgia.
She was joined in Holy Matrimony to John Edward Woodham on November 24, 1943. Their union was blessed with the birth of 11 children.
On Thursday, October 12, 2023 she peacefully transitioned from this life. Along with her husband, she is preceded in death by her daughters, Everine Woodham and Reatha Clayton; her daughters-in-law, Elaine Woodham and Deborah Woodham; a son-in-law, Washington Kleckley, Jr. and four grandchildren, Garrick Woodham, Clint Thomas, Robin Daniels and Tomeko Woodham.
Her legacy of love will be cherished by her loving and devoted children, Bernice Spivey of Jacksonville, Florida, John Woodham (Queen) of Abbeville, Georgia, Willie Woodham of Waldorf, Maryland, Marie Kleckley of Desota, Georgia, Charles Woodham (Alice) of Americus, Georgia, Bobby E. Woodham (Alexis) of Desota, Georgia, Bennie Woodham (Janice) of Americus, Georgia, Lawrence Woodham of Americus, Georgia and Connie W. Whitehead (Gerald) of Leslie, Georgia; 32 grandchildren: Anthony (Angela) Clayton, Jacqueline Clayton, Donna Clayton, Shelia (KD) Johnson, Michael (Maricia) Woodham, Janice (Larry) Handy, Eddie Spivey, Lashima (Forrest) Patterson, Rodney (Tiffany) Woodham, Lajuana Woodham, Bryan Woodham, Kimberly (Sewanna)Woody, Katrina Fuller, Teresa (Timmy) Barker, Terrance (Jessica) Kleckley, Bernard (Kimberly) Woodham, Jennifer Woodham, Antonio Daniels, Antonio (Antonia) Thomas, Franchester Woodham, Chadrick Woodham, Kamera Woodham, Kamilah Woodham, Sharod Terry, Kendrick (Crystal) Woodham, Justin Whitehead, Jasmine Whitehead, and Kervin (Makeala) Whitehead; a host of great grands, great, great grands; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
