Obituary

Mother Christine Kendrick Wiggins of 207 Norman Lane, Warner Robins, Georgia died Friday, January 14, 2022 at Atrium Health Navicent Healthcare in Byron, Georgia.

The graveside funeral service will be held Friday, January 21, 2022 at 12:00 Noon at the Oglethorpe City Cemetery in Oglethorpe, Georgia.  Everyone in attendance is asked to please wear a mask and to practice social distancing.

On October 25, 1935, a beautiful and loving soul was welcomed to this world when our beloved, Mother Christine Kendrick Wiggins was born.  She was born in Dooly County, Georgia to the late Roosevelt Kendrick, Sr. and the late Ola Mae Cheese Kendrick.  She was the oldest of 14 children, ten of whom preceded her in death.

She received her education from the Dooly County School System.

She heard the voice of Jesus and united with the Shady Grove Baptist Church where she served as a member of the choir.  Her spiritual journey continued at the New Birth End Time Word Ministries, Inc. where she served as Mother of the Church.

As the matriarch of the family, she exemplified love and concern for her family.

On Friday, January 14, 2022, our loving mother and grandmother peacefully transitioned from this life to life everlasting.  Her beloved husband, Johnnie Lee Wiggins and her children, Clara Mae Wiggins, Vernestine Wiggins, and Minister Judy W. Jones, each precede her in death.

Cherished memories of her life will forever live on in the hearts of her loving and devoted children, Johnny (Jeanette) Wiggins, Jr. and Ernest Lee Wiggins both of Oglethorpe, Georgia, and Gloria W. (Rodney) Hunter of Warner Robins, Georgia; her sons-in-law, Eltorre Stephens of Fort Valley, Georgia and James Jones of Oglethorpe, Georgia; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; her caring goddaughter, Minister Denise (James) Hill of Warner Robins, Georgia; her loving sisters, Mary Burrough of Cordele, Georgia and Martha Warren of Warner Robins, Georgia; her beloved brother, Eddie B. (Rachel) Kendrick of Arabi, Georgia;  her sisters-in-law, Mary Turner and Pauline Wiggins both of Orlando, Florida; her brothers-in-law, Joe Wiggins, Sr. and Samuel (Pearline) Wiggins, Sr. both of Orlando, Florida; a host of nieces and nephews; many cousins, other relatives and many loving friends.
