Mother Leola Daniels Lofton of 170 4th Street, Arabi, Georgia died Thursday, March 31, 2022 at the Crisp Regional Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cordele, Georgia.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at 5:30 PM at the J. W. Williams Funeral Home Porte Cochere in Cordele, Georgia. The burial will follow at the Bethel Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia. Everyone in attendance is asked to please wear a mask and to practice social distancing.
Mrs. Leola Daniels Lofton was born in Turner County, Ashburn, Georgia to the late J. C. and Mable (Brown) Daniels.
She was known to everyone in the community as "Miss Lee." She loved working in her yard and taking care of family. Baking cakes and homemade biscuits that would melt in your mouth were also among the things she enjoyed doing.
She was a devoted member of her beloved Little Rock Baptist Church of Arabi, Georgia. She joined under the leadership of Pastor Bobby Lee Robinson and continued her membership under the leadership of Reverend Joseph Green.
For 50 year she shared her life with her beloved husband, Mr. Sammy Lofton.
On Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 3:08 PM, her Father saw her finishing a fight that was bigger than she and called her home to be with Him. Along with her parents and her husband, she is preceded in death by her beloved granddaughter, Valerie Renita Dorville Goodley.
She was the proud parent of one daughter, Verna Brown Davis Rainey of Antioch, Tennessee; her great granddaughter, Bianca Hope Dorville; her beloved sister, who loved her passionately, Mother Adeline Lofton, the two remained inseparable until the end.
She was a special aunt to several nieces and nephews, each of whom she loved equally. She also leaves to mourn her sisters-in-law, Mrs. Ella Mae Williams of Tampa, Florida and Mrs. Mattie Pearl Daniels of Arabi, Georgia; her devoted cousins, Mrs. Mable Hillsman of Ashburn, Georgia and Mr. Robert Williams of Deerfield, Florida; a host of other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
