Mother Mattie B. Brown of 213 Loudon Hill Drive, Warner Robins, Georgia, died Thursday, April 17, 2025, at her residence.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 10:00 AM in the chapel of the J. W. Williams Funeral Home in Cordele, Georgia.  The burial will follow at the Vienna City Cemetery in Vienna, Georgia.

Everyone entering the funeral home for visitations or services is required to wear a mask and to practice social distancing.  A mask must be worn throughout the stay.  You must supply your mask.

Mother Mattie B. Brown, age 98 of Warner Robins, Georgia, passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, April 17, 2025. Born on March 17, 1927, she lived a life marked by grace, resilience, and unwavering love for her family and community.

A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Mother Brown was the matriarch of a large and loving family.  She was preceded in death by her children, including Miss Jacqueline Brown, Mrs. Phyllis R. Webb, and Mr. Tommy Lee Brown and her siblings, Mrs. Leola Butts, Ms. Louise Brown, Mrs. Annie Ruth Oliver, Mr. Thomas Brown, Mr. Freddie Brown, and Mr. Johnnie B. Brown.

Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Demond Webb (Aretha) of Warner Robins, Georgia; Damian Webb (Darla) of Solon Ohio; and Dionne Webb-Jenkins (Mario) of McDonough, Georgia; her cherished great-grandchildren: Damianna Webb, Kailey Webb, Damian Webb Jr. Dallas Webb, Maliyah Jenkins, Shareka Hicks, Octavis Hunt, Donovious Hunt, Fantasia Hunt, and Tyler Webb; her loving     sister, Mrs. Gennie Mae Smith of Dooling, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Ms. Brown was a faithful steward of her home and family, guided by love, prayer, and purpose. As a devoted homemaker, she created a sanctuary of warmth and peace. She found solace and communion with God in nature-casting her line into still waters and tending to the earth with gentle hands. Her garden flourished under her care, bearing fruits and vegetables that nourished not just the body, but the spirit. In all she did, she honored the blessings God placed in her hands, sharing them freely with those around her. She will be remembered for her warm smile, generous spirit, and the love extended to all who knew her.
