The life journey of Michael Wayne Staley, Sr. began on Friday, January 27, 1956, in Cordele, Crisp County, Georgia. He was a proud son of Ernest Staley, Sr. and Florine Fenn Staley.

As Michael grew, he was taught the importance of education and learning skills that would help along the way. He graduated from Crisp County High School in 1974. He perfected his skills and became a certified electrician. Realizing the value of his hands, he was also a self-trained mechanic and carpenter.

Throughout his life, Michael carried the joy of the Lord in his heart. In 2013 he became a member of Hope In the Word Ministry. He was a very devoted member who willingly served with a kind and caring spirit.

Along with his love for the Lord and his commitment to serve the people of God, Michael engaged in other organizations.  In 1978, at the age of 22, he became one of the elite members of the Better  Brothers Club.

The journey would afford Michael the honor of sharing his life and love for 22 years with his wife, Ollie. They became one on April 26, 2003.
