Ms. Mattie Sue Bryant of Vienna, Georgia, died Monday, February 16, 2026, at the Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 1:00 PM in the sanctuary of the Bethel Baptist Church in Vienna, Georgia.  The burial will follow at the Vienna City Cemetery in Vienna, Georgia.

Mattie Sue Bryant was born on July 30, 1958, in Dooly County, Georgia. She was the beloved daughter of Mary E. Bryant and was raised in a close-knit family that valued education, community, and faith.

Mattie attended Vienna High School in Vienna, Georgia, where she graduated in 1977. Her pursuit of knowledge led her to Fort Valley State University in Fort Valley, Georgia, where she continued her education and made lifelong friendships.

A devoted member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Vienna, Georgia, Mattie was actively involved in her church. She participated in Bethel's Birthday ministry, where she shared her warmth and kindness with others. Her commitment to service extended beyond the church as she took on the role of a caregiver and was also a member of Mother's United by Love.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary E. Bryant, her son, Conata A. Bryant, her brother, Dallas Bryant, Jr. and her sister,  Mildred Batts.

Mattie Sue Bryant transitioned on February 16, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, dedication, and love. Her impact on her family, friends, and   community will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her daughters, Kezia P. Bryant and Mariama E. Bryant, of Cordele, Georgia; her grandchildren, Amarra Bryant and Asharya Bryant; her sisters, Beulah Anderson of Vienna, Georgia, Rose Mary Bryant of Byron, Georgia, Addie Pinckey of  Columbia, South Carolina, and Elizabeth ONeil of  Decatur, Georgia; her niece, Kenya Jackson, her  nephew, Obuku Anderson; her great-nephew, Denico Jackson; a host of other relatives and friends, to include, Rutine Mathis, Anna Armstrong, and Delores Anderson, all of Vienna, Georgia; Kathy Hooks and Winifred Hooks of Warner Robins, Georgia; and Rose Brown of Unadilla, Georgia.
