Ms. Mashanda Lavern Wooten Coleman of 1114 Blackshear Road, Cordele, Georgia, died Monday, March 30, 2026, at the Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of the J. W. Williams Funeral Home in Cordele, Georgia.  The burial will follow at the Bethel Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia.

Everyone entering the funeral home for visitations or services is required to wear a mask and maintain social distancing.  A mask must be worn throughout the stay.  You must supply your mask.

Mashanda Lavern Wooten Coleman, born on January 2, 1972, in Cordele, Crisp County, Georgia, was the beloved daughter of Jeremiah Wooten and Shirley Ross Fenn.

Her early years were marked by a strong dedication to education, as she was educated in the public schools of Crisp County.  She graduated from Crisp County High School and later continued excelling at Strayer University, where she was a Dean's List student majoring in Medical Billing & Coding.  Mashanda worked as a biscuit maker at Bojangles of Cordele, where she was known for her hard work and dedication.

On March 30, 2026, Mashanda peacefully transitioned at Crisp Regional Hospital.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her children: Shontanika Royal of Waycross, Georgia; Andre Wooten of Macon, Georgia;  Iesha Wooten of Cordele, Georgia; Fabian Coleman, Jr., Khadeja Coleman, Fabian  Coleman, III, Fabian Coleman, IV, De'rand Howard, Mahd Howard, De'mond Howard, and Michael Howard, all of Macon, Georgia; 19 grandchildren; her parents, Shirley Ross Fenn of Cordele, Georgia and Reverend Jeremiah (Joann) Wooten of Augusta, Georgia; her sisters, Christy (Bobby) Blackwell of Augusta, Georgia; Latosha (Michael) Kennedy of North Carolina; Leah (Marvin) Sholar of Florida; Naomi (Maurice) Mickey of Warner Robins, Georgia; Keon Wooten of Jacksonville, Florida; and Felicia Vereen of Atlanta, Georgia; her  brothers, Rodrecuis Ross of Cordele, Georgia; Kevin (Latonya) Ross of Texas; Boris Copeland of Chicago, Illinois; Korey Wooten of  California; Jeremiah Wooten, Jr. of Augusta, Georgia; Mark (Heather) Wooten of Chicago, Illinois; Deverick Wooten of Augusta, Georgia; Timothy (Marisha) Wooten of Albany, Georgia; and Nehemiah Wooten of Warner Robins, Georgia; her aunts and uncles, Jacqueline Oliver, Michael Oliver, Rosalyn (Victor) Montford, Kenneth Oliver, Valerie Oliver, Donna Oliver, and Louise Staley, all of  Cordele, Georgia; Rosemary (Pastor Daryl) Hall of Ashburn, Georgia; Chaplain Angela (Thomas) Bailey of Atlanta, Georgia; and Betty Barber of Byrom, Georgia; her best friends, Shelia Patrick of Cordele, Georgia and Wanda Baron of Atlanta, Georgia; a special friend, Arelious Howard of Macon, Georgia; her numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.
