Ms. Martha Lynn Harper Huffins of 107 South 3rd Street, Cordele, Georgia, died Friday, July 4, 2025, at the Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.
The funeral service will be held Friday, July 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of the J. W. Williams Funeral Home in Cordele, Georgia. The burial will follow at the Hardshell Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia.
Everyone entering the funeral home for visitations or services is required to wear a mask and to practice social distancing. A mask must be worn throughout the stay. You must supply your own mask.
Martha Lynn Harper Huffins was born on a memorable New Year's Eve, December 31, 1952, in Cordele, Georgia. She was the cherished daughter of Tom Harper and Estelle Battle Harper.
Martha was educated in the Crisp County Public School system and proudly graduated from Crisp County High School in 1971. Known for never having a problem expressing her opinion, she was also recognized for her love of reading and had a passion for maintaining a clean and welcoming home, and unwavering support for the Dallas Cowboys. Martha also enjoyed listening to music and cherished spending quality time with her family.
Her heart was full of love, especially for her grandchildren. Martha found great joy in fishing and gardening, activities that brought her peace and happiness.
Martha was preceded in death by her loving parents, Tom and Estelle Harper, her sister Gloria Harper, and her brothers, Tommy (Betty) Harper, Edward Harper, McKenzie Harper, William Harper, Wren Harper, Alexander Harper, and Alfred Harper. Martha's life was a testament to love, family, and dedication, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Martha transitioned on July 4, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She is survived by her loving and devoted children: Alfie Henton of Cordele, Georgia, Jaamal Huffins (Nicole) of Warner Robins, Georgia, and Kourtney Huffins of Cordele, Georgia; her grandchildren, Sarah, Cashana, Kenshayala, Diamond, Jaamal Jr., Somara, Mekevious, Jayden, A'zaira, Auilia, Alfie Jr., Jakhari, Erbriyon, and Jaylah; seven great-grandchildren; her beloved sister, Mary Steele (Clarence) of Warner Robins, Georgia; her sisters-in-law, Minnie Harper, Thelma Harper, Julia Harper, Deborah Harper, and Marilyn Harper; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many sorrowing friends.
