Mrs. Marion Louise Thomas Street of 733 North Coney Road, Cordele, Georgia, died Thursday, September 11, 2025, at her residence.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 3:00 PM at the Crisp County School Auditorium in Cordele, Georgia.  The burial will follow at the Greater Gum Creek Baptist Church in Cordele, Georgia.

A Time to Be Born:  Marion was born August 28, 1937, to the late Mose Thomas and the late Louise Coleman in Macon County Georgia.

A Time to Learn:  Marion received her education in the Macon County at Flint River Farms and attended Gillespie-Selden Institute in Crisp County from 1953 to 1956.

A Time to Worship:  Marion was baptized at an early age at, shady Arnold in Macon County, GA.  Later in life, Marion moved her membership to 13th Street Church of Christ in Cordele, Georgia and was baptized September 23, 1979, in the Body of Christ.  She also shared her love at the Vienna Church of Christ.  Marion was a dedicated and active member who participated in various church auxiliaries.

A Time to Love:  Marion met the love of her life Samuel Street during high school, and they married in 1956.

A Time to Give Birth:  Marion gave birth to four children, three sons and one daughter.  Her first born preceded her in death

A Time to Work:  Marion worked as a domestic engineer for several prominent families in Crisp County:  The Turton Family, The Harpe Family, The Hausler  Family, The Miller Family, The Parker Family, The Nesbitt Family and Ms. Josie Green.

A Time for Hobbies:  Marion was a cheerleader for the basketball team while in high school. She also enjoyed gardening and fishing.

Loved Ones Who Proceeded Marion:  Marion is preceded in death by her parents, Mose and Louise Coleman Thomas;  her son, Schliemann H. Street; her husband, Samuel "Junior" Street; five brothers, Harper, George Adam, Mose Junior, Abraham, and Melvin Thomas, and one sister, Helen Young.

A Time To Rest:  The Lord has called Marion to pause for a time of rest she leaves to mourn her passing three children, Jesse Street (Freda) of Jonesboro, Georgia, Kimberly Street of Cordele, Georgia, Lafayette Street (Cherrell) of Hendersonville, Tennessee; her bonus children, Reverend Keith  Lewis (Laresa) of Vienna, Georgia, Shelia Swinney of Warner Robins, Georgia, Tracey Paul (Evon) of Cordele, Georgia, Colonel Mikita Brown of Warner Robins, Georgia, and Mysean Brown of Cordele, Georgia; her siblings, Carnell Thomas (Marilyn) of Linden, New Jersey, Gwendolyn T. Ridley of Cordele, Georgia and Shelia Thomas of Rochester, New York; four sisters-in-law, Mary Thomas of Miami, Florida, Lois Thomas of Chesapeake Bay, Virginia, and Alberta Thomas of Rochester, New York, and Rosemary Street Brock (James); 17 grandchildren; a plethora of great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a loving and caring grandson, Samuel Sneed; several nieces, nephews, cousins, foster  children, other relatives and friends, to include, The Beal Family and her caregivers, Gail Shaniel Williams, Lavetta Fields, Angie Solomon,  Catherine Bailey, and special around the clock caregivers, cousin Alvin Fenn and Kenyatta "KiKi" Bryant.
