Miss Margie Mae Perry of 405 West Pine Street, Vienna, Georgia died Sunday, July 24, 2022 at her residence.

The graveside funeral service will be held Friday, July 29, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Pleasant Valley Church Cemetery in Pinehurst, Georgia. Everyone in attendance is asked to please wear a mask and to practice social distancing.

Sister Margie Mae Perry was born June 16, 1950 to the late Mr. Eugene and Mrs. Pearlie M. Perry of Dooly County.

Sister Margie Mae Perry was educated in the Dooly County School System.  She also attended Rutledge College in Atlanta, Georgia.  She joined the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church at an early age.  In her ladder years she joined the Greater Morris Tabernacle Baptist Church family of Cordele, Georgia, where she attended faithfully for years.

Margie Mae Perry lived in Atlanta for a number of years and was employed with United States Postal Service where she touched the lives of many through that service.  Margie was a caring and humble person that loved  life, and family.  She was a talkative person that spoke kind words of      encouragement to make you feel better or just bring a little sunshine into your life, however, in 2006 Margie lost the ability to speak due to an illness that took away her voice box.  She cared for others and her heart exemplified that love in her daily interactions.

Sister Margie Mae Perry departed this old life for her new life with Jesus on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at 6:36 AM at her residence.

Her father and mother, Mr. Eugene and Mrs. Pearlie M. Perry and four brothers, Mr. Walter Perry, Mr. Willie C. Perry, Mr. Freddie J. Perry, and Mr. Leo V. Perry preceded her in death.

Sister Margie Mae Perry leaves to cherish her memory, two brothers, Mr. John Lee (Ann) Perry, Mr. Jimmy Lee Perry of Vienna, Georgia; three sisters, Ms. Ethel Perry of Vienna, Georgia, Mrs. Chris Perry Gaither of Atlanta, Georgia, and Mrs. Barbara (Myral) Kendrick of Tampa, Florida; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Ella Lofton Perry of Vienna, Georgia; her first cousins, Mr. John (Vera) Perry of Vienna, Georgia and Ms. Bettye Perry Foster of Washington, DC, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
