Ms. Luella McAdoo of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the Crossview Nursing Home in Pineview, Georgia.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 3:00 PM in the sanctuary of the Antioch Baptist Church in Pineview, Georgia. The burial will follow in the churchyard cemetery.
Ms. Luella McAdoo was born on September 8, 1939, in Wilcox County to the parentage of the late Mr. Edward and Mrs. Ida Lou McAdoo. She departed this life on Saturday, March 7, 2026, while a resident at Crossview Care Center in Pineview, Georgia.
She joined the Antioch Baptist Church in Pineview, Georgia, at an early age. After moving to Tampa, Florida, she joined the Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Ray Jackson, where she sang in the choir and served on the Usher board. Luella received her education from the public schools of Wilcox County. For over 20 years, she was employed by Shay & Prey and Tampa City Schools as a cafeteria worker.
Although she will be greatly missed by her loved ones on this side, she is welcomed to Glory by her parents and siblings.
Luella leaves to forever cherish her memories her siblings, Ms. Bertha McAdoo of Stone Mountain, Georgia, Mrs. Mary Liza Brown of Rochelle, Georgia, Mrs. Ida (Earnest) Creal of Atlanta, Georgia, and Mr. Edward McAdoo of Tampa, Florida; her nieces and nephews whom she helped rear, Minister Lynnice (Pastor Connie) Graham of Fitzgerald, Georgia, Sebrina, Wayne, and Sonya McAdoo of Tampa, Florida, Shawnta (Baby Girl) Hill of Cordele, Georgia, and Gregory (Marilyn) Staten, Sr. of Thomaston, Georgia; her great nephews, Gregory Staten, Prince Staten, and Pierre Staten all of Thomaston, Georgia; a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and other sorrowing friends.
