Mr. Lucius Bagley, III of 605 South 13th Street, Cordele, Georgia died Sunday, June 5, 2022 at the Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the J. W. Williams Funeral Home Porte Cochere in Cordele, Georgia.  The burial will follow at the Mount Zion Cemetery in Oakfield, Georgia.  Everyone in attendance is asked to please wear a mask and to practice social distancing.

The journey of life for Lucius Bagley, III began on July 12, 1942 in Warwick, Worth County, Georgia.  He was born to Mr. Lucius Bagley, Jr. and  Ms. Lillie Mae Thomas.

The seeds of education were planted early as he grew up in the Worth County Public School System.  He was a proud graduate of the J. W. Holly High School.  He later attended the Delco Remy Mechanic School in Atlanta, Georgia.

A believer in Jesus Christ, he enjoyed fellowshipping at the New Hope Baptist Church in Warwick, Georgia.  He also worshipped with the body of believers at the Elizabeth Baptist Church in Abbeville, Georgia.

A member of AARP, the New Hope Mission and Senior Citizens, he will always be remembered as a kind man who loved his family.

On Sunday, June 5, 2022, his journey came to a peaceful end.  Along with his parents, he is also preceded in death by his sisters, Mrs. Ora Jean Williams and Mrs. Geraldine Henderson.

Cherished memories are left to his loving and devoted wife, Mrs. Lovie W. Bagley of Cordele, Georgia; his loving and devoted children, Mr. Lucius Bagley, IV of Abbeville, Georgia, Mr. Christopher Bagley of Cordele, Georgia, and Ms. Lanitra Lewis of Perry, Georgia; 14 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; his loving sisters, Ms. Cassie  Alexander and Ms. Loretta Brown both of Cordele, Georgia, and Ms. Veronica Penny Holly of Atlanta, Georgia; his     caring brothers, Mr. Charles Eugene Bagley of Rochester, New York, Mr. Milton Holly of Cordele, Georgia, and Mr. Johnny Sutton of Atlanta, Georgia; his brothers/sisters-in-law, Ms. Mary Hall of Fitzgerald, Georgia, Dr. Sam O. Williams of Macon, Georgia, Mr. Willie (Liza) Williams of Cordele, Georgia, Mr. Thomas Williams of Warner Robins, Georgia, and Mr. Harold (Evelyn) Williams of Chattanooga, Tennessee; a host of nieces and nephews; many cousins; a host of other relatives and many sorrowing friends, to include, Deacon Dennis Harris, Deacon Earnest E. Gass, Mr. Steve Hill, Dr. Charlie Peppers, Mr. Keith McGill, and Mr. Roderick Hawkins.
