Our beloved, Lonza Cross, Jr. was welcomed to this world on September 12, 1960 in Cordele, Crisp County, Georgia.  He was born to the late Mr. Lonza Cross, Sr. and the late Mrs. Ruthie Kellam Cross.

Lonza received his education from the public schools of Crisp County.  He was a graduate of Crisp County High School and his support for "his" Cougars would last a lifetime.  He truly believed in the motto, "Once a Cougar!  Always a Cougar! How Sweet it is!"

Early in his life, Lonza confessed hope in Jesus Christ.  He was baptized at the Allen Temple A. M. E. Church.

Lonza lived a life of helping and sharing with others.  He was a member of the Cougar Booster Club and also actively contributed to the Police Association.
