United States Army Veteran, Mr. Lee Arthur Everett of 313 West 22nd Avenue, Cordele, Georgia passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025, at his residence.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, March 9, 2025, at 4:00 PM in the chapel of the J. W. Williams Funeral Home in Cordele, Georgia.
Lee Arthur Everett was born to Dee Arthur Everett and Mary Lou Felton Quarterman. He was born on April 26, 1959 in Cordele, Crisp County, Georgia.
Lee was a proud 1977 graduate of Crisp County High School in Cordele, Georgia. His education laid the foundation for a life marked by service and dedication. Baptized at an early age at County Line Baptist Church in Crisp County, Lee was a believer in Jesus Christ.
Following his graduation, Lee made the decision to join the Army. His military career was distinguished by numerous awards and accolades, including the **Expert Sharp Shooter**, **Good Conduct Medal**, **Army Service Ribbon**, and the **Combat Ready Service Medal**. Lee's service took him on two overseas tours, one in Germany and another in Alaska, where he demonstrated exemplary skills and dedication.
Lee had a passion for the Dallas Cowboys, a testament to his love for sports and camaraderie. His fondness for simple pleasures was evident in his enjoyment of Fudge Rounds, Lay's Potato Chips, and Pepsi, which brought him comfort and joy.
Lee Arthur Everett passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025. He was predeceased by his parents, his sister, Aretha Denise Thomas, his grandparents Jimmy and Elnora Felton, and his aunts and uncles, Sudie Fordam, Verna Smith, and Jessie (Helen) Felton.
Lee is survived by his children, Latesia Payne of St. Marcus, Texas, and N'Keria and N'Kedra Everett of Cordele, Georgia; his stepdaughters, N'Kebra Searcy and N'Keisha Woodson (Bobby) of Cordele, Georgia; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; his sisters, Elouise Quarterman and Mary Quarterman-Bryant (Eddie) of Cordele, Georgia; his brothers, Arthur Lee Quarterman (Bertha) and Cedric Quarterman of Cordele, Georgia; his aunt and uncle, Rosa Walker of Milledgeville, Georgia and Elijah Smith of Ft. Pierce, Florida; his nieces and nephews; a host of cousins, other relatives, and many sorrowing friends, to include, Amanda Searcy of Cordele, Georgia.
