United States Navy Veteran, Mr. Lawson B. Brown of 610 East 15th Avenue, Cordele, Georgia died Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at his residence.

The memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the J. W. Williams Funeral Home Porte Cochere in Cordele, Georgia.  Everyone in attendance is asked to please wear a mask and to practice social distancing.

Lawson B. Brown was born March 27, 1956 in Cordele, Crisp County, Georgia.  He was born to the late Mr. Eugene Brown, Sr. and the late Mrs. Mary Fields Brown.

He was educated in the public school system of Crisp County.  Upon the completion of high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy.

On Tuesday, July 19, 2022 he peacefully transitioned from this life.  He will forever be loved and missed by his loving and caring family:  his nieces and nephews, Ms. Tawaina Porter, Mr. Benton Porter, Mr. Wilson Williams, Mrs. Stephanie Johnson, and Ms. Latosha Porter all of Cordele, Georgia, Mrs. Monica Porter Hadley, Mr. Marcus Hadley, and Mr. Sarabian Porter all of Albany, Georgia, Mr. Derrick Brown of Cordele, Georgia, Ms. Lakeshia Grimsley, Ms. Ebony Harris, and Mr. Jesse Harris, Jr. all of Albany, Georgia, Pastor Patricia Ann Jones of Jacksonville, Florida, Mr. Jimmy Holmes, Jr., Mr. Gerald Brown of Albany,  Georgia, Mr. Nicolas Williams, Ms. Onemia Porter, Mr. Brayden Evans, and Mr. Caleb Porter all of Cordele, Georgia, Mr. Randolph Porter of Macon, Georgia, and Mr. Lewis Burnell of Cordele, Georgia; a host of   cousins, other relatives and friends, to include, The Crisp Care Management Team (Ms. Tammy), Hospice Care, Mrs. Chelsea Bryant and Ms. Wendy Johnson, The Barthell and Benjamin Families, Ms. Marie Porter, and Ms. Sarah Fueller.
