Mr. Kevin Delane Wallace of 154-B Africana Drive, Plains, Georgia died Thursday, April 11, 2024 at the Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Georgia.
The funeral service will be held Friday, April 19, 2024 at 12:00 Noon in the sanctuary of the St. John AME Church in Plains, Georgia. The burial will follow at the Lebanon Cemetery in Plains, Georgia.
Kevin DeLane Wallace was born in Sumter County, Georgia on April 17, 1973 to the parentage of the late Benny Wallace and Virginia Perry Wallace, who survives. At an early age he joined Saint John AME Church. Later he joined New Zion Baptist Church in Cobb, Georgia. He moved back to Plains, Georgia and reunited with Saint John AME Church.
He was educated in the public schools of Sumter County and was a 1992 graduate of Sumter County Comprehensive High School. He was employed with Lippert Component, YDC, Woodgrain, PPI, Sharp Systems & Live Farms.
He is also preceded in death by his grandparents, Jimmy & Ozie Bell Wallace and Ruthie Dell Perry & John Lee Ross.
On Thursday, April 11, 2024 our beloved Kevin transitioned from this life. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Christy Walker Wallace; two sons, Kevin J. Wallace and Ke'Juan Wallace both of Cobb, Georgia; one daughter, Kiara Wallace Davis (Mildred) of Americus, Georgia; two grandchildren, Caitlin Wallace and Cailix Wallace; two sisters, Dominque W. Deriso (David) of Plains, Georgia and Danielle Williams (Mark) of Reynolds, Georgia; one brother, Donnivan Tatum (Erecha) of LaGrange, Georgia; his uncles, Jimmy Wallace (Cindy) of Albany, Georgia, Earnest Solomon of Americus, Georgia, Clarence Smith ( Leila) of Americus, Georgia, Parrish Perry (Patsy) of Newark, Delaware, Benny Perry of Plains, Georgia, and William Perry of Americus, Georgia; his aunts, Judy Wallace and Rose Mae Solomon of Americus, Georgia; his father-in-law, Arthur Walker of Cobb, Georgia; his sisters-in-law, Rosie Thomas (Michael) of Titusville, Florida, Genell Harris of Americus, Georgia, Debra Walker of Cobb, Georgia, Jennifer Clark of Dawson, Georgia, and Kelly Gunter of Columbus, Georgia; his brothers-in-law, Arthur Walker, Jr. (Lisa) of Americus, Georgia, Lance Marion of Americus, Georgia, and Seth Walker of Cobb, Georgia; a devoted niece, Tayana Woods; a host of cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
