Obituary

Mr. Kerry Roger Cross of 510 East 12th Avenue, Cordele, Georgia, died Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the Emory St. Joseph Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 3:00 PM in the chapel of the J. W. Williams Funeral Home in Cordele, Georgia.  The burial will follow at the Mount Olive Church Cemetery in Warwick, Georgia.

Everyone entering the funeral home for visitations or services is required to wear a mask and maintain social distancing.  A mask must be worn throughout the stay.  You must supply your mask.

Kerry Roger Cross was born on June 6, 1969, in Worth County, Georgia. He was the beloved son of Herman Cross and Elizabeth Hooks Cross. Kerry attended Worth County High School. During his time in high school, he developed a passion for track and field, showcasing his athletic talents and forming lifelong friendships.

Kerry had an immense love for children and family, which was evident throughout his life. He was a person who cherished spending time with his loved ones and often expressed gratitude for their presence in his life. Kerry enjoyed traveling, and much of his life was spent journeying between Atlanta, Georgia, and Orlando, Florida.

Known for his joyful spirit, Kerry was a person who truly enjoyed life. Whether he was spending time with family or exploring new places, he embraced every moment with   enthusiasm and grace. His positive outlook and infectious smile left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Kerry transitioned peacefully on April 8, 2026. He was  preceded in death by his father, Herman Cross. Kerry leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory forever.

Kerry's legacy is one of love, laughter, and cherished   memories. His life serves as a reminder of the importance of family, the joy of travel, and the beauty of living life to the fullest. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

He is survived by his loving mother, Elizabeth Hooks Cross; his devoted wife, Lisa Mann of Cordele, Georgia, and his children: Carl Walker, Jr. (Faith), Kenjiaya Willams (Camari), and Jamarius Dean all of   Cordele, Georgia: his aunt, Diana Devorce of Cordele, Georgia; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins including Tiara Dean, Oneshia  Walker, Subrabian James, Lequince James, Ja'vion James, all of Cordele, Georgia, James Hooks, Bernard Hooks, Tayianna Dean, Calvin Hooks, Shirley Hooks of Warwick, Georgia, Romon Epps, Bernard Hooks of Warwick, Georgia, Kyoni Dean of Cordele, Georgia, Ramona Williams, and Jasper Hooks of Hope Hill; his special friend, Roman Epps of Cordele, Georgia, and a host of other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
