Mr. Kenneth Wayne Perry of 1116 South 8th Street, Cordele, Georgia died Saturday, August 26, 2023.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 10:00 AM in the sanctuary of the New Saint James Baptist Church in Oakfield, Georgia. The burial will follow at the Friendship Church Cemetery in Oakfield, Georgia.
The union of the late Mr. Robert Perry and the late Mrs. Maude Nelson Perry was blessed with the birth of a son on August 31, 1958. Born in Worth County, Georgia, they named him, Kenneth Wayne.
He completed 12 years of learning in the public school system.
Early in his life he accepted the Lord, Jesus Christ. He was baptized and united with the Mount Olive Baptist Church of Warwick, Georgia.
Spending time with his family was one of things he enjoyed most of all. He also like fishing and watching football. Win, lose or draw, he was a Steelers fan.
On Saturday, August 26, 2023 he slipped away from those who loved him dearly. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Ashley-Perry; his siblings, Mrs. Mary Louise Bivins, Mrs. Linda Faye Freeman, Mr. Willie Perry, Mr. Robert Lee Perry, and Mr. Curtis Perry; and his grandparents, Mr. Christopher & Mrs. Lizzie Nelson and Mr. Joe & Mrs. Edna Miller.
Memories of his life will forever be cherished by his loving and devoted daughter, Ms. Maude Natiece Perry of Cordele, Georgia; his loving grandchildren, Miss Teandria Butler and Miss Lashanti Butler of Cordele, Georgia; his loving sister, Ms. Corine Peterson of Cordele, Georgia; his caring brothers, Mr. David (Geraldine) Perry and Mr. Harold (Patricia) Perry of Cordele, Georgia and Mr. Joshua Freeman of Brandon, Florida; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends.
